“This is 5 star service”

This hotel's service is a standout from the rest. A true 5 star hotel, the Bangkok's Royal Meridien in comparison is no match for this very refined hotel in Angkor. We were greeted with refreshing drinks upon arrival...The hotel manager walked us up to our room and made sure everything was done right. We used miles for the rooms and were still welcomed and treated like important guests--this is a sure sign that service is very consistent. The room we stayed at was beautiful and so clean. Every night, someone came and asked if we wanted our beds to be turned down. The staff really made us feel that they cared for us even as we checked out. It is rare to get this type of personal attention at such a large hotel. We had a lovely stay and I would absolutely go back and also recommend this hotel to anyone!

  • Liked — Impeccable service, accommodations

The hotel is exactly as you would expect. Rooms are very well appointed with lots of luxury features. Staff is well trained and always smiling. Any services you need can be arranged. I struggle with being entirely positive about the hotel mainly because of pricing. Nightly rates are reasonable for the experience, but it does bother me how much is charged for anything in the hotel compared to the price right outside the front door. For example, the cost of breakfast for one in the hotel is the same as a nice dinner for two in town. Some markup is expected, but differences this great always feel like profiteering to me. I would still recommend the hotel (and the location is just a few kms from the ruins), but be aware of pricing.

Can't say enough about the amazing time my partner and I had in this wonderful hotel in this most amazing place. The staff are extraordinary- friendly, polite, efficient- there was no request too small, no item to insignificant to escape notice. We arranged for tours and local travel thru the hotel (if you've ever been afraid of tuk-tuks in Thailand, you'll be in love with them after Siem Reap). The staff helped us thru a myriad of challenges assoicated with the closure of the Bangkok airports with grace and deference as well as providing little delights in our room during the stay.

Some specifics- the breakfast buffet is hands down the best in Siem Reap. The Concierge Services were top-notch, and the guide services procured thru the property were first rate. The door men were great at sorting out tuk-tuk rides and rates. And an undiscovered secret- the small foot relexology spa in the main building. Close, quiet and effective after a long day of scrambling around Angkor!

Our expectations were exceeded- both with Angkor and with this property.

This place was great. From the front desk, to the tour we booked through the hotel (guide was Sorsom), to the amazing breakfast, to the pool, gym, the room size, and the front lobby. I would stay here if you can afford it. We got a discount and loved the value. Being on tours all day, makes it important to find a nice hotel here to spend the time in the evening and rest.

We stayed here 3 days and it was not enough time to see all the sites. Let alone enjoy the hotel. I love this area! Take a car to The thousand Linga River and swim in the waterfall. After all the dirty pluted water of all the places along the cesspool that is the Mekon River, it was a delight to be able to swim in clean water! I hate that they make you pay for using the computer to check your e mail. Even the chepest hostel will give this service for free. What is up with all this 4 and 5 star hotel charging? Loved the aromatherapy in the room and the munchies.

I stayed here at the end of October for two nights. The check in was perfect where I was seated down to register with a drink and cold face towel. It took just a few minutes and I was in the well appointed room, impressively with a 9am early check in without charge.

The whole place is beautiful once you have passed the initial disappointment with the ugly, plain white and red fortress-like building from a distance. The garden and ground are well maintained and peaceful looking,

The pool is 500 meters from the hotel building which is a bit unstrategic and the vast ground of green carpet grass and palm trees left side of the building is a bit of a waste of land although it looks amazing. The gym is tiny which is unacceptable for a MICE orientated hotels.

The breakfast is disappointing with limited options but I guess it may be a norm for Cambodia. The staff are all polite and friendly.

Location wise, it is a bit out of the way to town and it is only closer to Angkor complexes. You have to get your own driver or cross the road to take Tuk Tuk for USD 2.

Overall, it is a good hotel but if you want to experience more local lifestyle and have a good vibe, you should try those hotels in Siem Reap town like Victoria Angkor, Hotel De La Paix or Sohka Angkor. This hotel is full of MICE guests and high end European tour groups.
