Without a doubt, Le Meridien Angkor provides the best in accommodation and the proximity to the wonderful temple sites. Special thanks to GM, Greg and Hotel Manager, Graham, for their hospitality. My family (2 boys aged 13 & 11) and I thoroughly enjoyed the sites but this was accentuated with the knowledge that we could return to such a wonderful establishment (excellent staff, beautiful decor, leading management, nicely appointed rooms, delectable meals, etc etc.). Thank you Le Meridien and thank you, Starwood.

My mother and I stayed there for 4 nights. Overal is very good. Hotel staffs are very friendly. They speak good english, very helpful.
Location: hotel is located not so far from city center, we took tuk tuk which cost us about 2USD per trip. Quite and spacious, out of busy. However, there is not thing to do around hotel.
Room: Clean, spacious. Bathroom with separate shower and bath.
Facility: Beutiful swimming pool, fitness room, internet service cost 1.16USD per hr at business center. Wifi in room cost 5USD for 6 hr.
Hotel serve nice food, price is acceptable.
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel. So couldn't review about it.

This hotel is a perfect place to be, if you like the hotel brand and if you don't like be surprised ( with chance or not). We were upgraded (with our memberschip card) the room was nice but i ask myself what was the category below (maybe take care!!!!!maybe). The swimming pool is to be seen. The restaurant offer is ok and the breakfast too (expensive if not included). You are not in the town but not too far. In anycase it's not expensive to go by yourself. The desk is helpful to program the excursion (but it's not the local price, but really confortable). The spas is so and so.....maybe the badpoint.
In summary: the meridien is nice without any surprise when you consider this brand in the world

this place is simply THE BEST!
We have just returned from 3 nights at Le Meridien Angkor and can honestly say it's the only place to stay in Siem Reap.
Being a relatively new hotel it's well appointed and extremely comfortable. And in true Cambodian style it's very well serviced. The manager Graham goes above and beyond to ensure his guests are well looked after. He made us feel very welcome and comfortable and even went as far as to offer to wash our baby sling after we arrived with a sick baby (and soiled sling!).
The hotel is ideal for day trips to the temples, into town and the airport. The staff will arrange anything for you at a moments notice and nothing it seemed was too much of a problem for them. We were so impressed when the head chef arrived at our table after noticing our 10 month old son and asking if there was any food he could prepare for us - nothing he said was too much of an inconvenience.
Our room and bed was more than comfortable, as was the extra bed we had for our 2.5yo and fantastic cot for our little one.
There is no other option in Siem Reap, stay at Le Meridien..you won't be disappointed!

We booked this hotel via the hotel's own website, which offers the same price as some booking websites offer .

Food

The cheapest rate does not include breakfast and on a second thought, we booked the 2nd cheapest rate, which includes daily breakfast by just paying around USD4-5 more per day. Turned out this is the MOST smart move. Le Meridien offers one of the best breakfast buffet among 5-star hotels in emerging countries (such as Cambodia) with many choices of both western and Asian dishes. Although the fruits are not most fresh, the rest are really impressive.

Lunch and dinner at the cafe is of fair price with USD10 for two courses. However, the western dishes are better than the Asian ones and it's just fair quality with no surprises.

Room

The room is spacious enough for two persons. Washroom is clean def. of great quality, esp. the shower facility is great. The TV, however, is a bit old. Not a LCD. Bed is just fairly comfortable. As I set the beds of Park Hyatt in Shanghai or the ones in St. Regis in New York as the best ones, Le Meridien's is just okay. Not uncomfortable, but won't give you the feeling that once you are in the bed, it's the heaven.

Spa

The spa is elected to be the best in Siem Reap in 2008, however, it's quite disappointing. The changing room is very small, and only have one shower. The shower facility is so poor with very thin water flows and not enough hot water. Even the massage room looks quite old. The massage bed is not comfortable and the staff didn't even turn down the lights when doing the massage, which kept me awake.

Service

The staff is warm and helpful.

Overall, good choice.

First off, our tour guide Mr. Mao Sroeb, who we booked through the hotel concierge for 3 days, was the best part of our trip. Book a personalized, private tour with Mao if you are genuinely looking to learn more about Cambodian people, history, culture, and way of life. We felt this went way beyond a normal Angkor "tour". As an added bonus, he successfully steered us clear of the times and routes all the tour bus groups use when they flood the sites- giving us a more intimate look at the ruins.

Le Meridien Angkor exceeded all of our expectations- especially with regard to the service. We used the concierge desk non-stop, and they were always very professional, easy to communicate with, and genuinely friendly. There are hotel representatives everywhere to ensure you always have what you need. The restaurant served wonderful food, with a friendly, attentive staff. We had a minor complaint about the temperature in our room, which they immediately resolved and brought us an apology letter and a complimentary fruit tray. Finally, the spa (get the "4 hands massage") was great and the pool even better- it is truly a jungle oasis! In summary, everything about our stay was fantastic!

after coming from the Regent Four Season's in singapore. I was really suprised at how "great" the Le Meridien Hotel property in siem reap was. the hotel was comfortable, not too far from the temples-- but the Service was spectacular. the waiters , concierge, bellman, shopkeepers...all were fabulous. I travel the world and would highly recommend this property for any siem reap holiday
