“Good hotel, service meh!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 May 2014

I travelled by myself to Siem Reap and stayed in the Monoreach following the suggestion of the agent.

Good points:
Hotel room comfortable and very clean, all facilities such as swimming pool, fitness and spa, nice traditional breakfast wih a reasonable omelette station, and the fare was decent (about 50 dollars a night).
Wifi in the rooms is subject to an additional charge (about USD5,00 a day) and is excellent!

Bad points:
Staff was not trained to guide tourists on the activities and practical aspects, and very few spoke sufficient English to communicate with tourists.
Location: the hotel is fairly close to the airport, old market and temples, but not on a walking distance from anywhere.
No personality: it could be a hotel in any city in the world, you don't feel in Cambodia (which is probably the purpose of the hotel and I was the one who didn't communicate the agency that I wanted a more characteristic lodging).

All in all a nice hotel for families, but I wouldn't recommend it to people travelling by themselves.

We stayed in March as part of a tour of Cambodia. This hotel is not suited for the individual traveller and is marketed to the bulk Asian tour groups. Although not the hotels fault we were woken up by loud tourists every morning (groups) with the constant ringing of the floor phone, located just outside our room. Breakfast was poor, once again aimed at the bulk Asian tour group and dinner was worse. Location is only a few km's from the centre of town but not ideal for the exploring self sufficient traveller. Service staff were exceptional and it was the most polite service we had received in Asia. Missing from our room were tea/coffee making facilities. They also refilled the empty shampoo bottle with water... very difficult to wash your hair with! WiFi was only free in the lobby, and it only worked sometimes. We would not stay here again nor recommend it.

First time in Siem Reap. The rooms are nothing great to shout about but then again we're not here for the hotel rooms. Staff are very pleasant. Breakfast is below average. But my daughter swears that the Spaghetti is fabulous!! I would recommend this hotel purely because of it's proximity to all the tourist destinations. And we did get free wifi in the room.

The hotel was a pleasant surprise on our tour. The staff was helpful, the free wi-fi in the lobby(pricey in the room) made the two-night stay enjoyable. Breakfast included as a variey of western and asain foods for both tastes.

Room Tip: Higher floors on the North side have a great view.

We stayed one night and everything was very nice. Didn't get the chance to try the pool, but it looked really nice.
The rooms were clean and you got everything you needed. Breakfast was ok, nothing special, but it tasted good.
I read free wifi in the rooms from other guests, but we only had in the lobby, which was fine as well.

Clean room and toilet.
Good service - check in and check out was easy.
Room cleaned on time every day.

Breakfast dining area is a bit small if there is big groups that check in hotel.
No wifi in room...wifi is available only at the lobby and connection is intermittent.

Nice swimming pool area.
