Staying at the Angkoriana was a very comfortable experience. The feel of the hotel is very inviting and warm. The staff are very friendly and super helpful (the general manager was kind of enough to introduce himself to me and make sure I was enjoying my stay). The rooms are modest but comfortable and appropriate for this price range. WiFi is available and free. The food is surprisingly good (I'm ashamed to say I ordered room service more often than I should have). The pool looks mighty inviting but I didn't get a chance to use it. And there's free shuttle service to/from the airport.

The other great thing about Angkoriana is it's location. It's on the main road leading to Angkor Wat, which puts you in a great place to start your Angkor adventure (that's why we all come to Siem Reap anyway, right?). But it's also only a 2 minute tuk tuk drive away from the center of Siem Reap, where you'll end up after a day of Angkor-Watting. And though I never encountered a tuk tuk driver who didn't know about the Angkoriana, the fact that it's directly across the street from the National Museum ensures that no one will ever be confused about where to take you when it's time to go home.

If I have any criticisms, it's that the WiFi can sometimes be spotty (but overall still good, and hey, I should be out enjoying Cambodia anyway), and it was a challenge keeping mosquitos out of my room (and I tend to be a magnet for them). That said, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Thanks to the Angkoriana staff for a nice and pleasant experience.

We've been in January and had a great stay at this hotel. Location could not be better, on the same road leading to Angkor, and in few minutes by tuk tuk you are in the centre of Siem Reap.
The pool closes at 11.00pm and it's great after a long day at Angkor. Rooms are clean and spacious, only negative side there is no lift.
As a tip, avoid getting on the tuk tuk waiting by the hotel entrance, he will quote what seems to be the starting point for them of 2$. If instead you walk towards the Reffles hotel, you will find plenty of tuk tuks which will take you for 0.50$ to the same destination. Also don't listen that renting a tuk tuk for the day to visit Angkor is 30-35$. You get one for just 15$ walking towards Reffles.
Hotel staff was very friendly and recommended us a great restaurant, Khmer Kitchen.

For $35 per night this pace wasn't bad. The staff is friendly and the breakfast wasn't bad; made to order omelettes and pancakes, along with juice, fruit, bread, rice, and noodles.

The is no elevator so if you're on the 3rd floor and have a problem with walking stairs it may be problem for you.

Rooms were good size but definitely could be cleaner and updated. Pool looked nice, though we never used it.

Location is close to the temples, but outside of the downtown area.

Not a bad place, but it wouldn't be my first choice if I was returning.

We are a family of five with three teenage boys stayed in Siem Reap for 6 nights. The hotel had been recommended to us by friends and we were not disappointed. The hotel staff were very friendly and although we arrived to be told that the room with three beds that we had booked was not available, they did find a solution and all three ended up with a decent bed, even though two did have to share. In future I would ring a couple of days before our arrival to double check the confirmation.
We took two tuk tuk drivers for our whol stay from the hotels list and rhey did their best to accomadate our needs. It was great fun going everywhere by tuk tuk.
We recommend eating in the hotel as well. The food was very good but most guests prefer to eat in town probably due to the night life and markets.
All in all we had a great stay at the Angkoriana and would definitely stay here again.
Also suggest doing one of the quad tours by quad adventures it was the highlight of our holiday and our boys loved it.

We stayed here for two nights. All staff were friendly and helpful, they were always smiling. Easy check-in, and check-out procedure. Good breakfast, with enough choice of cold and hot food.
Our room was clean and big enough. It looked over the the main road, but it was perfectly quiet, we had a good night sleep.
The restaurant offered local and international foods with daily specials during all day, til late.
Only one fault, to the manager attention: the shower curtain was very dated, with stains on it.

Overall highly recommended for staying in Siem Reap, and visiting Angkor.

We decide to book this hotel based on the low price of US $30 per night. And that's exactly what we got for our money. I have emailed the hotel on several occasions not only on the day we are arriving at beforehand in regards to pick up. It's never materialised. We had to get ourselves from the airport to the hotel cost US $3. The good thing about this is that we found a tuk tuk driver that Would take us to Angkor Wat the next day. We got this hotel through Asia rooms. We did request a double bed which didn't materialise upon arrival. One of the desk agents intended to leave it for the morning shift but fortunately someone with more understanding that we were upset at everything started they way we would have liked on our trip managed to rectify this situation. The room we were given was basic but okay. Unfortunately the safe didn't work properly and didn't lock.... Not much use .... Even worse we were allocated room 226. Outside this room on the wall are five large air conditioning units. These go on and off all through the day and night. As the window in the room didn't sit in its hole properly there was a large gap under the window. . This meant that we had very fitful sleep. The bathroom was functional, but appear to need a good scrub from top to bottom. breakfast was a poor quality not only food but drink wise too. Orange juice tasted very watered down and the service was slow. By the end of three days here we were ready to check out. Staff here are all very sweet. That's the only thing that this hotel has going for it. We would spend more money and stay nearer to and pay slightly extra to have proper working facilities And a better nights sleep. Stay elsewhere.

The pics showcasing the hotel gave the impression of a big hotel. This hotel is small. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Most of them have limited english and could answer only with a yes or no. Upon our arrival (midnight) the hotel had a few lights on and smelled "old". The receiving staff warmly greeted us and offered "welcome drinks". Rooms were assigned promptly.

The room--the room we stayed in was clean and had enough space, with view of the pool area. Bathroom had hot and cold water, and was very clean. There were complimentary soap, shampoo, bath gels, shower caps and drinking water. It had an old TV with cable. Phone rooms did not allow for outgoing calls, not even for intercom.

We had a room on the third floor and going up the stairs was difficult. Stair steps had an awkward, low rise making it uncomfortable to use. At night time, the lights on the common hallways were not lit so the first persons to go through it would be obliged to switch the lights on.

Breakfast choices were limited but okay. Not excellent or yummy but just okay.

Wifi was available and had a good signal. Those wanting to use a computer may use the desktop computer at the lobby.

Shuttle service to and from the airport is available and those attending to us were helpful and kind. Language barrier observed, but otherwise, they were a cheerful duo.

Amenities include a small massage area, a hotel lobby shop, a restaurant and internet station. Common toilets available for guests, located in the hallways between the lobby and restaurant. Pool seemed nice (didnt use it) and cleaned everyday.

Overall it was a pleasant stay at Angkoriana. It wasn't excellent to elicit raves, but it's a fairly okay place to stay while in Siem Reap.

Room Tip: Get rooms on the lower floors. There are couple rooms, double bed rooms and triple sharing. Higher f...
