“Disappointing”
Reviewed 11 December 2013

This was the most expensive of our accommodation in Cambodia and we were looking forward to comfort and satisfaction. We had to complain every day about the lack of hot water and were told the engineers would look into it. On the third night the air conditioning didnt work either so we complained again and were offered an upgraded room. The air con worked but still no hot water. In the end the manager did confess that the system needed an upgrade. There were only two coffee sachets and two teas in the room whereas the previous hotel we stayed in had about 10 sachets. I thought this place was mean. If we had a drink by the pool every drink attracted a tax. I thought the employees were rather pointed in hanging around for tips. They were very friendly however. The hotel was in a great location but instead of cashing in on its gracious colonial past I think a few tweaks needed including faster internet..Great breakfast especially the omelettes.

This hotel is located on walking distance from the center of Siem Reap. Walking about 15 minuts and by tuk tuk for 2 dollar 3 minuts. It is a friendly atmosphere hotel with big room (218) The breakfast is okay and you can sit inside as well outside. The internet is on this moment very slow or not acces. They say they are busy to change the wire.

Room Tip: Room 218 Is a big room with double bed and a big bathroom

I would come back. The staff (Tuy) were helpful, respectful and responsive to our request. On the first night of stay the air conditioning in Room 204 was not working well but immediately upon informing the front desk, a maintenance guy responded to fix the problem. We are a group of 4 and used 2 rooms (204 and 202).

We were told that we have a free 15 minute express foot massage - - but scheduling this is quite a pain as you need to have this booked/reserved a day before. And this rule, was not reminded to us right away when we check-in, as such we had issues in claiming our complimentary foot massage, which we badly need after walking whole day for our temple tours (Angkor, Bayon and Tomb Raider). We are four in our group and only 2 was allowed to claim the free massage due to limited availability of massage staff. The SPA manager is also not very nice or should I say quite "so by the book" and did little to accomodate our request. He could have simply extended working time of his staff to be able to also give our other 2 companions their free massage. This is a result of coordination and communication lapsed between front desk and SPA manager.

Just a reminder, the small fridge was not up and running in Room 204 and still needed to be plug on and the plug is not readily reachable so we still need again the help of front desk.

Another good thing, among some bad services described... this is walking distance to and from pub street. But it is advisable to take Tuk-tuk going first to pub street and maybe walking back if you are comfortable. Anyway, the streets appeared safe. We walked back to this hotel from pub street around 2am.

And the breakfast buffet, is really a bang for the buck as there were many choices and taste well too.

Room Tip: Room 204 and 202 are just perfect as they are just off the second floor landing. Accessible.

i booked a double room online ,when we arrived at 6pm we were given a twin room , we had to go back to reception and ask to change room , in the 1st room there was no hot water in the bathroom or shower and i also had to call the reception 3 times that night as the power kept going out in the room , next day we changed room , on arrival the TV had no channels ,again i had to go to reception to get someone to fix it , once again in the 2nd room there was no hot water in the bathroom or shower , again i went to reception and someone came to the room to try and fix it , but they could not fix it , so for our 3 nights stay we had no hot water in both rooms we stayed in , sometimes the elevator did not work so had to use the stairs .the pool was very small and next to the road ,so very noisy , the sunbeds were old and very very dirty . i really cant understand how this hotel has a 4 star rating , for me i would give it 2 1/2 stars .i would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone .i went to relax and was more stressed out when i left !!....look elsewhere for a hotel

Can I just say this hotel has the best beds and pillows. After 3 weeks travelling around Vietnam and Cambodia the last three nights were spent at Casa and I was so glad that the beds were so comfortable.
The staff are to be congratulated for their friendliness and helpfulness. The staff are always polite and were are to offer any advice that we asked for,
The pool is so cool. The bar beside was the best. To just sit and have a drink after a long day out and about was just what we needed.
There was always a tuk tuk waiting to take us were we wanted to go.
Close to town but just far enough out to remain quite and peaceful every night.
The only fault I could find was the hot water was simply not an option. After a long day out the tepid shower was beautiful but it wasn't appreciated first thing in the morning.
But over all our experience at Casa was just the best.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that over looks the beautiful pool. So calming and peaceful

My family and I, 4 of us, stayed here for four nights and really enjoyed it. I would re-visit without even checking other places. Where to begin; we were given our adjoining rooms as requested, the 'queen bed' was slightly smaller than a tennis court, the breakfasts very good, the staff super friendly, the pool clean, big enough, and wonderful to relax by, rooms large with balcony, no street noise, very close to the action (1 to 3 blocks to shops, massage, pub street, grocery store one block away (with Bacardi for $9 USD1 liter so don;t buy spirits duty free at Siem Reap or even Singapore buy in a grocery store) , warm relaxed unpretentious atmosphere.

Room Tip: ask for a balcony. not sure if they cost more.
