This was the most expensive of our accommodation in Cambodia and we were looking forward to comfort and satisfaction. We had to complain every day about the lack of hot water and were told the engineers would look into it. On the third night the air conditioning didnt work either so we complained again and were offered an upgraded room. The air con worked but still no hot water. In the end the manager did confess that the system needed an upgrade. There were only two coffee sachets and two teas in the room whereas the previous hotel we stayed in had about 10 sachets. I thought this place was mean. If we had a drink by the pool every drink attracted a tax. I thought the employees were rather pointed in hanging around for tips. They were very friendly however. The hotel was in a great location but instead of cashing in on its gracious colonial past I think a few tweaks needed including faster internet..Great breakfast especially the omelettes.
