We stayed here a few years ago with our 4 children.
We still talk about this hotel, and how it gave a great local feel to our stay in Siem Reap.
We have fond memories of this lovely small hotel.
We would happily stay here again.
Friendly staff, local food, great location, great Cambodian experience.

I booked this hotel reading the reviews as a boutique hotel. However I did not see anything in it as a boutique hotel. The structure is old. The average rooms are very small and bathrooms do not have ventilation. They have gathered things from here and there and tried to give a boutique feeling. Since owner is a muslim they do not provide any pork dishes but it wasn't a problem for me.

PRO:
Nice location and just a 5-10 min. walk to heart of city.
The area is full of greenery and trees and gives you a nice feeling. Pool is nice too. The restaurant looks to be very nice however I only had breakfast. The owners seems to be environment friendly and do not provide bath amenties like packed soap, shower gel or shampoos but have installed shower gel and shampoo dispensers in shower area.
Staff is very friendly

CONTRA:
Regular rooms are very small.
No soap near wash basins so you have to go to shower area to get some soap from dispenser.
Breakfast is well decorated but tiny portions and you have to stick to THEIR menu which has 3-4 choices.
No intercom so you have to go to reception for everything.

Genuinely welcoming and obliging staff. Reception booked tickets, reserved tables and posted letters...nothing too much bother. We stayed as a family for seven nights and did not want to leave. Extensive breakfast and good restaurant. Beautiful gardens, fresh lotus flowers delivered each morning and arranged around grounds. Quiet location, but a sense of the life of the town just outside the gates : 5 minutes' walk to all the nice cafes and across the bridge to the pagoda. Don't stay anywhere else!

Room Tip: ask for a high one

There are one or two quirks about this place, but overall it is a lovely place to stay. The experience is made by the staff, all of whom are absolute gems. Friendly, helpful, honest and genuinely caring. The pool is small but nice, breakfast is a bit hit and miss, but this is Asia. Pay a fortune and get less or stay at Bopha Pollen and feel appreciated! Thumbs up.

This was my first visit to Siem Reap and I wasn't disappointed in my accommodations at the Bopha Angkor. What I liked best was the service, the beautiful gardens and restaurant, the spacious room and clean bathroom.

Some things that could use improvement are the cleanliness of the mosquito netting (dust particles were making me cough) and the cabinet closure (it kept swinging open). I feel these are minor nits. For the price that I paid, I realy got good, good value for my money.

Have stayed here some years ago and really enjoyed it. Experience this time was somewhat disappointing. Great location near markets river and plenty of reasonable eateries. Gardens are beautiful and a good hotel for those who prefer a smaller establishment and not of the five star beautiful people variety.
Restaurant was good but no real options for a light lunch snack. Staff varied from rude to accommodating. The beds were the hardest I have slept on in years and i travel a lot. By the third night we slept out of pure exhaustion. No hot water or limited to two minutes was very difficult as the body could have used hot shower to take some of the stiffness out of having slept so poorly. Take care of personal belongings as small amount of money stolen. The petty theft is not the issue. But rather that someone had taken the time to carefully go through our belongings as the money had been well hidden. Left a poor impression of the hotel. Overall the hotel could do with a spruce up and definitely invest in new beds, pillows and linen/towels.

Room Tip: In the rainy season ask for room Nearer the front of the hotel as tiles are very slippery when raini...
