FCC Angkor
Ranked #91 of 378 Hotels in Siem Reap

The attention to details makes a good luxury hotel. the FCC knows the rule and offers everything you need (or not).Free 15 min massage, afternoon tea, balcony, transport rental.. the list goes on. it is a 7 min walk to the old market along the river, close to all central bars and restaurants. Very convenient for Angkor Wat (8-10 min ride).

The rooms have a sophisticate design, spacious wardrobes, bath salts&flowers etc. Lighting and quality materials give you the comfort you need after a long and tiring day at Angkor Wat and provide a feeling of well being. The hotel's design and landscape are a model of elegant lines set in a well thought environment. At the back, the T-shaped swimming pool is chlorine-free and procures a feeling of peace. Like in any luxury hotel, the FCC displays (overpriced) accessories you don't need but soon become "necessary"; comfort is addictive.

Room Tip: rooms on the first floor are even more private...

Had a fantastic 3 nights at FCC, location perfect, staff great, food/breakfast/happy hour all top notch. Poolside delux room comfortable was a treat, as was the pool & surroundings. The driver provided by the hotel was a real genuine nice guy where nothing was too much to ask, great customer service, local knowledge, polite gentleman. Appreciated the cold towels & ice water in the heat - the Honda crv a better choice than the tuktuks for temple tours. Recommend to others for sure, if we return will stay again. Thanx FCC well done. 7-9 may 2012

Room Tip: Poolside delux ground floor nice.

I had a wonderful stay at FCC Angkor - not only its location was very strategic (I could walk to the old market along the river) but the restaurant is a nice place to hang out too (open air overlooking the river). I love the open air concept of the restaurant and open space concept of the hotel. The room is clean and service is excellent.

This hotel is great looking, offered us a great location and the room was really beautiful.

-Starting with the location, the FCC is a $2 ride in a Tuk Tuk to Pub Street and the markets and also a really short ride away from the Angkor Temples too.
-Staff were fine, nothing amazing but polite and friendly.
-Make use of the happy hour its lovely to chill out and watch the world pass you by on the main road.
-Lovely pool area which is maintained well.
-Room was lovely and loved the print on the wall. The only thing was it would be great to have a mirror in the actual room.
-Due to the way the rooms look over one and other of the first floor we did need to keep out curtain closed the entire time we were in the room. Perhaps blinds/shades would be more beneficial.
-The Bathroom was very nice however a little worn around the edges I also made the mistake of opening the frosted glass panel in the bathroom which I did not realise hid a slotted panel window type area. It was full of dead bugs and other yuk stuff think this could be cleaned more often.
-Shower looked great but it was near on impossible to have a shower without water going over the edge onto the floor...!
-Overall the hotel I think could do with a bit more TLC, I know it’s a hot and tropical climate and so there are bound to be dead bugs etc but feel the hotel could do more to keep communal areas cleaner. On the stairs up to our room the flat roof area was a bit of mess and just needed a good sweep.
-As the hotel is open to the elements this is a great looking design but does mean it can be rather noisy. There are some insects in Cambodia that travel around in groups and like crickets emanate a noise but they sound like car alarms going off. If you are a light sleeper this could be an issue, we did get used to it. Also open air hotel means there are lizards etc around again to be expected in a tropical location, not for everyone though worth a mention I thought.
-Restaurant – breakfast was lovely and a great choice on the menu. Dinner was really expensive and its much cheaper to jump into a tuk tuk to Pub St and the surrounding area and eat for much much less!
-Shops in the hotel seem a bit pointless.Never saw anyone buy a thing from them or even really visit them. Also as the markets are so so cheap makes no sence them being so overpriced.

We really enjoyed staying in Siem Reap, the locals here are great really friendly and this is a nice not amazing hotel to experience it from.

We stayed in one of the ground floor pool view rooms for 3 nights. The room was great with a nice bathroom and comfortable bed. The only downside of the room was that to have any privacy you need to keep the blackout curtains closed, otherwise everyone in the pool can see straight into your room.

The meals at the restaurant were lovely, and the breakfast was really lovely and great way to start the day.

The spa was nice although we were only told after our treatment that the discount we'd been given at check-in did not apply to that particular package, which wasn't detailed anywhere.

The hotel staff were great at organising our trip around the the temples, and even though the price was inflated (I'm sure we could have got a better deal if we tried) the quality of service was terrific and our driver was friendly and helpful.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the FCC Angkor for 3 nights, in a standard room, having booked the romance package. The package was an amazing deal, and all was very well organized. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were checked in and consulted with the woman at the front desk who wrote up a custom itinerary for us. The hotel itself was just as nice as it appears is in the photos, if not better. The grounds were lovely, the staff very friendly, helpful and professional, everything was immaculate, and the spa and treatments were of a very high standard. As part of our package we got some tuk tuk tours, which were in the hotels own tuk tuks, which were the nicest/largest in Siem Reap, and equipped with bottled water and cold towels, which was a huge luxury in the heat of the day. One of the days we paid extra for an all day private tour guide (35 USD), who was absolutely fantastic (Mr Von Chinn). The restaurant was also very good, and the portions were huge. All in all, it was a perfect stay, highly recommended.
