This is a much quieter version of Ta Prohm. Less tourists and better photo opportunities.

A lot of steps and uneven surfaces to negotiate so wear proper shoes and take care!

Not many people visit this temple and that makes it perfect for exploring and getting some good photos.

It is similar to Ta Prohm and is a sprawling complex so take your time to explore it.

Well recommend this temple.

We visited all the major temples in the area, and Preah Khan was the best from my standpoint as a photographer. As most others mentioned this is less touristy than many of the more famous temples and as a result has (thus far) avoided the deluge of tour buses offloading tourists by the dozen. There are many intricate doorways and passages to take photos of and they have not been extensively restored, preserving some of the mystique of the olden times. I especially enjoyed taking photos of the local priestesses on premise - the juxtaposition with the grey walls was something special. You can also get your fill of the "overgrown trees" photo opps without wrestling others like you have to at Ta Prohm.
