“Very nice Hotel with Perfect Service and very nice staff.”
Reviewed 7 March 2014

If you look for a very good hotel with fair prices and Perfect Service in Siem Reap you have to go there.
It is a bit outside but they have a free Tuctuc Service with which you are in ten minutes in the City.

We stayed for one week at Suokear Boutique Hotel & Spa (2/18 - 2/25) and had a wonderful time. Assistant Manager Pisey Bong was responsive in answering my numerous questions on transportation and tour arrangemets prior to our arrival. The airport pickup and drop off by tuk-tuk as well as the trips to and from Old Market worked well enough. Similar to other posts, the staff could not have been more welcoming and it's always service with a smile. The morning breakfast is served a la carte but guests may choose a number of dishes to satisfy their appetite - - much better than a buffet. We also participated in a cooking class with the chef on the last day of our visit. It's a great way to spend an afternoon to learn about the food and culture of Cambodia.

What a fabulous break from hectic Siem Reap. I've stayed in town in the past, and hated it. Too noisy, too hectic. Siem Reap is not a nice place, but it serves its purpose as a base for exploring Angkor. Suorkear is fantastic. They'll drop you off and pick you up just about anywhere in town for free, and it's well worth it. It's located well out of town where it's quiet and calm, and the hotel itself is just lovely. It's small enough to feel like it's your very own place, and the rooms are really nicely fitted out and comfortable.

The only pain was the staff constantly trying to arrange tours to such tourist traps as the floating village. Every day. It was really annoying. If you say no once, that should be enough.

We like the hotel. Staff is friendly and attentive, and that is the most important thing for us. Rooms are ok, but we missed a wardrobe. Most times the free transfer "downtown" worked well. We did not try the restaurant because it was significantly more expansive than the good restaurants downtown (why?). But in the end: we like the hotel and would probably come back! Thank you!

New property so everything was clean and tidy. As the name says it is a boutique hotel wkth great staff who are eager to provide good service. The complementary hotel tuk tuk was an added bonus as was the transfer to the airport. We look forward to staying here again next trip.

Our stay at the hotel was comfortable and pleasant, the free tuk-tuk rides to the city came in handy and saved us the trouble of having to bargain as the hotel is considerably far from the city. The staff were very helpful and extremely obliging, however, restaurant services needs improvement. While the menu offers a fair choice, the food preparation was less than satisfactory especially their take on Southeast Asian cuisine. Having traveled quite a bit in the region, it was extremely disappointing to find peanut butter served in place of satay sauce that was supposed to compliment grilled chicken skewers. It did not do justice to the flavours of Khmer cuisine as it was mostly bland and tasteless.

Room Tip: The hotel is tucked in a modest neighbourhood away from the madness of the city, so it's general...

We booked this hotel purely going on the photos and price,I must say we were not disappointed when we arrived!! We were picked up automatically by the tuctuc driver from the airport and we hadn't even given them flight details, they went out of their way to find out which impressed us. On arrival we were greeted by the most friendly and lovely staff ever. They really cannot do enough for you. The room was wonderful, fairly big, spotless and had a real relaxing feel to it. The decor is great, felt like being in a high end spa. Bathroom toiletries are really nice and again top end,and we had a fruit bowl waiting for us in the room and the staff had written welcome and my name across the bed in leaves and petals. After two months of traveling this was a sight for sore eyes! They have some lovely meals on the menu of which I had the beef soup at about midnight as we arrived late,it was so tasty..I recommend.
Breakfast is really good too,and is served just by the side of the pool, again wonderful staff who cannot do enough for you. We had the tuctuc driver take us round the temples all day and was reasonable amount, but if you want to go into the town centre (bars, restaurants etc) it's free! We were worried as this hotel is a little out of town (3 mins in tuctuc and if you like walking you could walk it) but was better choice as so quiet unlike other hotels in the centre,no beeping or dogs barking! Also we made use of the free bicycles and rode into town,I would recommend doing this as it's a really pleasant ride down country lane and doesn't take long at all.
Only thing to be aware of is a lot of taxis or tuctucs don't know where it is,so take a card with the address on if you go out not using e free tuctuc.
