“Great Hotel, Great Location, Great Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 May 2012

My family and I (wife, 9 y/o son & 5 y/o daughter) just returned from a wonderful stay at the Sokha Angkor Resort. Check in was easy, the staff is knowledgeable and conscientious, and the rooms are clean and well appointed. A HUGE plus for me was the free internet service. Even while I am on vacation I must keep up with emails from work. Connection was easy: no silly passwords needed or special browser configurations. The connection speed was fine and did I mention it was FREE! Another big plus was the pool. It was very hot whilst we stayed and a dip in pool during the heat of the day was wonderful. The pool is huge, very beautiful and treated with salt, not the other nasty chemicals normally found in hotel pools. The breakfast buffet was very nice, too. Many choice and always fresh and tasty. The ride to the center of town (Pub St) was only a few minutes via tuk tuk. We walked it with our children and it only took us 15 minutes. You cannot go wrong with this hotel / resort. It is a world class operation!

This hotel totally lives up to it's well-deserved reputation. Great rooms, wonderful service, good food and such a great pool area. Close to Angkor Wat and good shopping and restaurants. Girls, it's right across the road from Mr Gucci, Mr Prada and Mr vuitton. How convenient! This hotel gives a luxury experience without the luxury price tag.

First impressions of this hotel are great, when you enter the vast lobby it takes your breath away. This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. I cannot fault any part of it. The service is second to none. Rooms are big and extremely well appointed. We had contacted the hotel prior to arrival to discuss tours and mentioned it was our anniversay, (see photos). The breakfast was fantastic and really catered for everyone. The food set you up for the exhausting days around Angkor Wat. After coming back tired and hot we decided to have a dip. The swimming pool is probably one of the best I have seen. Love this hotel.

If you're going to Angkor Wat or any of the other temples in this area, you'll spend a long, hot day on your feet. Then you enter this hotel, a short distance from the temples, and suddenly it's another world. The lobby, the pool area, the restaurants are all luxurious. The bed in our room was 9 feet wide, the shower in the bathroom was almost the size of my entire bathroom at home. The buffet restaurant has a wide variety of cuisines--whether you're adventurous or homesick you'll find excellent food. It's also a short walk out of the tourist area and into the local streets if you want to explore.

Room was spacious and clean. Excellent bathroom. Staff friendly, courteous with good facility in English. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant (buffet style). Wide choice of western food and very well prepared. We also enjoyed a pool side banquest with entertainment that was both well presented and delicious. We didn't know what to expect from Cambodia, but if it wasn't so far away and so HOT, we'd return to this hotel. Minutes from Angkor Wat which defies description.

I stayed here with my wife and 2 friends at the beginning of April for 4 nights. This hotel is close to being one of the best I have ever stayed in. The entrance lobby is spacious and inviting and the picture of Angkor Wat on the lift doors add to the overall ambience. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the guys on the door. Breakfast was extensive and offered plenty of choice, and the dining room staff were very friendly.
The rooms were large and well appointed. We had no problems with our airconditioning. The hotel's position was ideal both for a short walk to the nightlife - or tuk-tuk if you were lazy - and for visiting the temples of Angkor. The swimming pool is stunningly set with two waterfalls at one end.
The transfer from the airport was only 15 minutes. I would certainly stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Siem Reap.

Room Tip: We had a city view but I don't think there is much to choose
