Good location. Great hotel with antique look, surrounding with some convenience stores, supermarket, local restaurant and good scenery. I just love that Nice swimming pool designed. Hotel's breakfast and dinner are great too. Lots of choices. Nearby airport.

Room Tip: Choose those facing swiimimg is great

Sokha hotel is one of the best hotels I have ever been to in the world. Their exterior is amazing but the interior was even more amazing. The reason I love about this hotel is because the staff is always ready to serve you. When I was wandering and looking for a trash can in the lobby, one staff approached me and said Can I help you and took my trash for me. Also, when I did not want my room to be cleaned one day, they left me a note with a number to contact them for anything I want since they weren't allowed to clean the room. The hotel allows a late-check out, so I checked out at 2 instead of 12. Even after you check out, you can still use their pool and sauna room and shower. They have a safe storage room for your luggages. Breakfast buffet is amazing and the entire building seemed to be very clean. Doormen are always there to open the door for you and to get a tuktuk for you. They are extremely kind. Sokha would be one of the reasons for me to return to Siem Reap!

I stay at the Sokha Hotel Siem Reap Cambodia, met a Front Counter Receptionist, Miss So Sor Kimsour. Glad to become FB friends. Unexpectedly, after four days when I checked out, carelessly left behind my granddaughter's few pieces of dresses at the hotel, but will have to leave to Vietnam very shortly. Miss Kimsour was very professional with her kind services, went out of her way and arrived at the airport to return the clothes back give me. Miss Sor Kimsour, Sister in the dharma, you are so kind, thank you very much again. Really, given the chance, make many more friends. Amitabha. Thank you, the Hotel Managements for giving permission, for Miss Sor to leave her work place to rush to the airport. Thank you very much.

This hotel is perfectly located close to town and close to Angkor Wat temple. The staff were lovely and the buffet breakfast was delicious. Pool was amazing and the rooms were well furnished. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Good location close to town without being right in the centre of things.
Check-in and check-out efficient.
Spacious and beautiful reception & lobby area.
Stunning pool.
Good,unobtrusive service.
Breakfast good quality & variety but could get a little crowded at times.
Rooms were large ,well-furnished and immaculately clean.
Good sauna & steam room(free to use) & good , reasonably priced spa treatments.
The only minor issues we found were the bar food was not great and once early morning my wife tried to get some coffee from room service and no-one seemed to be able to understand English which is pretty bad for a 5 star hotel. However these are minor points and overall it was a positive experience in a very good hotel.

There are so many good things about the Sokha Angkor Hotel in Siem Reap so it seems mean to draw attention to the not-so-good.

However, hotels mostly say they ‘welcome feedback’ so – deep breath – here goes.

First: ‘good’ selection (there are many others):
1) location – very convenient for temples and town;
2) spaciousness – airy reception, bar, restaurant, gardens
3) rooms & bathrooms - brilliant, big, light, well-furnished, spotlessly clean
3) staff – friendly, efficient yet unobtrusive (compared the embarrassing over-attention at Grand Hotel d’Angkor at more than three times the price)
4) breakfast – plentiful, varied, wholesome
5) health club – excellent with a new dedicated treadmill room
6) floor in reception area – combination of tiling and wood is beautiful, a delight to walk on
7) value – can’t better it for 5-star in Siem Reap

Now: not-so-good
1) bar food – limited choice, not particularly delicious
2) evening restaurant – offers Japanese food only (what?)
3) carpets in bedroom corridors – tatty, worn out (investment needed Sokha!)
4) showers – though piping hot water is never in short supply, the combination taps and shower-heads are not 5-star standard
5) internet – recent improvement means no more logging on each time laptop is opened but, oh dear, it’s SO slow. To be fair, it’s the same in all other Siem Reap hotels.
6) Muzak – FAR too loud in public areas and, please Sokha, why inflict piped ‘music’ on guests at all?
7) smoking allowed indoors – smelly stub-out plinths near lifts on all floors

Though I have good contacts at other Siem Reap hotels and have, over 11 years, stayed at many pleasant establishments, I can’t see the point of going anywhere else other than the Sokha Angkor these days.

Sokha Management! Just get those carpets, shower-heads, muzak and bar food fixed, that’s all. AND ban smoking indoors please (despite your many Korean guests).

Room Tip: Deluxe Club Suite Rooms are fantastic (bathrooms huge) - and well worth an upgrade.

Wonderful hotel with great rooms and the pool was delightful. The beds are huge! Only stayed a few nights would of preferred longer. Easy to get into the town, they have guys waiting to take you in just organise and agree to a fee before you go. A general store across the road with a bank to access money.
