“The good location of Angkor Holiday Hotel”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

We stayed at Angkor Holiday Hotel when we traveled to Siem Reap! This hotel is so great! our room is so great and comfortable. Breakfast is also very nice. The location of the hotel is so good for you to walk around. There is one good restaurant with Apsara show nearby so we just walked one minute from our hotel. Highly recommend this hotel if any one visit Siem Reap.

We have been to angkor holiday hotel 3 nights in July 2013. The hotel is located 10 minutes away on foot from the center of Siem Reap. It looks very nice, well kept, clean. In the courtyard of the hotel there is a swimming pool, very welcome for a relaxing bath after a hard, though beautiful, walks through the temple. The breakfast is excellent, both sweet and savory, with good variety and abundance of dishes. We did not try the restaurant of the hotel: I preferred to dine in the center of Siem Reap, choosing from the lots of restaurants available. I recommend it.

Stayed here recently for 6 nights. This hotel is great value for money, we were pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Our room was a good size, even with a rollaway in the room for our 9yo son, the only fault really was that the air conditioning was a little noisy. The room also has tea/coffee making facilites, hair dryer, room safe & free wifi. The pool area was great to cool off & relax. There is a bar beside the pool that was not open but the staff were more than happy to get any drinks you required from inside the restaurant bar right next to the pool. There is also massage available as well. Buffet breakfast was okay & we also ate at the restaurant 2 nights & it was very good. There is also a small cafe in lobby. The staff here are just lovely, very friendly & helpful. The location of this hotel is fantastic. Lots of shops & restaurants nearby with the Lucky Mall situated opposite which has supermarket, chemist etc. It also has a Lucky Burger which our 9yo enjoyed. The hotel is only 10-15 min walk to Pub Street & Night Markets or 2 mins in tuk tuk. For sure there are bigger flashy resorts but if your looking for a nice reasonably priced hotel then this is a good choice. Overall, we loved our stay here & would definitely stay again.

It is a small hotel, not a new one, It may look not so good compared with the big, new, luxurius hotels in Siem Reap. But Location is perfect. Walking distance to pub street or National Museum. The rooms are big, clean. Air condition working welll. Big pool. Nice staff. Free internet use. Excellent choice. Very good value.

This hotel is central for supermarket shopping as well as close to the Night Market. The staff have been well trained and spoke perfect English; they were competent and friendly when attending to a guest's requirements. The dining area overlooks the pool, and as well there is an area set aside for outdoor eating. Rooms comfortable and the water hot. An ideal base for visiting Angkor Wat.

A dated and tired hotel. Breakfast was poorly organised, short on choice and average quality. Apart from an occasional decent staff member the majority didn't seem to care. The only redeeming feather was a pool.

This hotel has many points in it's favour:
- large rooms with large beds, and nice soft pillows
- TWO luggage racks!!! (yeah! Finally found a hotel that provides space for two suitcases without having to use the floor!)
- space in the bathroom for two people's stuff
- slippers and gowns provided, as well as bottled water
- safe easy to use (in fact the best I've ever come across!)
- nice central pool area with seating, and pleasant for "happy hour"
- local supermarkets just across the road (on two sides)
- laundry just across the road
- plenty of massage places just minutes from the hotel
- convenient location
Downside:
- rooms overlooking the highway are NOISY
- our shower pressure wasn't good
- rooms not well serviced: toilet rolls, soap (so small you can't really use it properly!) and small towels not replenished and had to phone twice to get more
- TV blaring on in the dining salon all through breakfast doesn't make for a peaceful start to the day
- eggs at breakfast were an issue: only one person doing that so you had to queue for ages, but the selection & quality of food was good
- hassle getting a second room key
Despite these points, I would recommend the hotel as overall it was a pleasant stay

Room Tip: Try to avoid rooms over-looking the highway as they are noisy.
