“Very nice place”
Reviewed 10 February 2014

I stayed there with friends in January. Staff was very friendly, the rooms are pretty and comfortable (even though bedside lamps would be good). It's next to a school, which means it can get noisy during the day but is absolutely quiet at night.
The hotel was rather empty, probably because it is quite new and slightly outside the main tourist quarter (5 minute tuk tuk ride to the nearby restos etc.) - all the better as we got the big pool for ourselves.

This hotel had only been open a couple of days when we arrived after Christmas.
We were allocated rooms upstairs, which was lucky. The ground floor rooms open directly to the pool deck and I would have been worried about our 3.5 yo wandering out of the door and falling into the pool. The rooms were spacious. There are two bathrooms (one with a shower & one with a bath). We didn't have much hot water or pressure, but I'm guessing that was just teething problems.
Breakfast and internet was included. Internet was a little intermittent, but I wasn't too worried. I shouldn't have been on the net while on holidays with my kids anyway. Breakfast was decent. We had 4 kids under five + an infant and the staff honestly had a lot of patience with us! We had a couple of evening meals in the restaurant which were delicious. If you ordered local food, it was perfect. We ordered fish and chips for the kids and it wasn't so good, a little cold. We guessed that the western food was cooked elsewhere.
The hotel tuk tuk's were great.
If you have a child that is crawling, you have to be a little careful around the reception and restaurant, as it is a raised deck with water underneath and crawling babies can easily fall into the water.
The pool doesn't have a shallow end, so it's not perfect for little kids.
We thought the hotel was good value for money. The staff were excellent and very tolerant of our little ones. The restaurant food was good quality and good value for money.

Room Tip: If you have kids who can't swim, you must ask for a room upstairs. The ground floor rooms open d...
