When we first walked through the doors at Villa Amalia we instantly felt like we were in heaven! A small resort with a large pool and one of the few resorts owned and run by fully Cambodian staff. The Cambodian owner with his staff built the resort themselves from scratch and it shows. They are so proud of there efforts and I myself have never seen such a well cared for clean and beautiful space. Made up of only 9 rooms the place feels very exclusive and spacious.
Service is very good and naturally slightly timid, but if asked will go above and beyond.
If you want a relaxed slice of heaven within walking distance to everything and a 5 minute walk from the hustle and bustle its great!!
We stayed for 3 days and then checked into Navutu Dreams which although good service we left after 30 minutes to come back to this Oasis.
They were very surprised but happy to see us back! Nothing wrong with Navutu dreams but justs feels alot more authentic and personalised here.
Loving the pool right now! Writing this review on our quick return.

Dear Sir,

First of all, thank you for having chosen Villa Amalia for your recent stay in Angkor.

In the name of Mr Chheang and his cambodia staff, thanks A LOT for your comment.
As you know, for this cambodian management, your help is precious for their project.

He' also thanks you for the time you took to discuss with him about his project and how to improve it.

Pretty close from the center of Siem Reap, with shops, restaurants and bars at hand, it's been great to enjoy the lovely garden (and pool). The individual bungalows are really spacious and comfy. The plus for all ecofriendly travelers (and sensitive skins) : organic products in the bathroom!
The Cambodian staff is increadibly helpfull and will always find a way to accomodate you, whatever you may want or need.
On top, the internet connexion is really good (and far above what we've got in other places). Slightly expensive, but we really got a high quality treat.

A few minutes from Siem Reap center, in a nice and quiet area, Villa Amalia is a great place to stay while visiting Angkor.
I've been enjoying the beautiful garden and the individual bungalow with a spacious room and a small terrace (and a swimming pool outside). The decoration of the hotel and the room with sculptures reminding Angkor feets perfectly, and the place is really luminous.
The staff has been thoughtful and available, and there was always a tuk-tuk waiting next to the hotel for any need (visiting Angkor or getting a quick ride to central Siem Reap when feeling lazy).
Perfect place to stay for a few days to enjoy Angkor and Cambodia at the best!
