“A bit disappointed in our room….”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 April 2014

This hotel is in a good location and within easy access of the markets and some good restaurants. We were given a room on the 5th floor in the older part of the hotel, where the lift only goes up to the 4th floor, so you have to use the stairs to get to the top floor. That's fine if fit and healthy, but could be a problem for some people. The bedroom was clean and the bed comfortable, but the curtains were ripped and we looked out onto the top floor of another building where the laundry was hung out to dry… not the most picturesque view! The bathroom was very dated and had a shabby & mouldy brown shower curtain… not very pleasant. Our room constantly lost wifi connection. Breakfast for both of us was included in the price and had a good choice of hot and cold food to suit all tastes. It is good value for money and I would stay again if guaranteed a room in the new wing of the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the newer wing of the hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy my 4 night stay in this hotel. The rooms are large, bright and clean. The food from the buffet breakfast, ala carte room service and in the dinning room are tasty and reasonably priced. The Spa room service massage is great, try their Khmer, dry massage, and it is like spending an hour with your chiropractor. The wifi is fast and staff prompt in their service although some don't speak English. The location is walking distance to the old market and pub street for day/night shopping, dining and entertainment. Next door is a nice restaurant also tasty and reasonably priced.
They missed our airport pick up and decided to rent a car $7.00, and that turned out fortuitous, a family of three was picked up in a tuktuk. They drove us back to the airport in a car. So make sure you specify, car service.
Two people in a room,we had to pay extra for breakfast buff, their rate published rate covers only single cover.

Room Tip: I used Agoda in the Philippines to get the special promo for this hotel (50% of published rates)

newer hotel, mid price range, easy walking distance from night market, restaurants (Pub Street) and shopping. excellent AC, clean and spacious room, nice bathroom. two pools (salt and fresh water), very busy place, seems to be popular with tour groups. friendly and helpful staff.

Room Tip: location near town is important, as most larger hotels seem to be on road to airport and not within...

Good location 2 minutes walk to centre of town, The staff were always very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean and nice, the breakfast was the best of the 8 hotels used during this trip. The pool was nice. everything nice and very good value for money.

Room Tip: The rooms on the 5th floor does not have lift access, this only goes to 4th floor

Royal crown is a beautiful hotel very close to the market..yet very quiet...the rooms are soacious a clean..however the balcony is not too accessible from room as the ac is kept there. The spa is good and reasonable.about 17 usd for a oil massage..there is a 4 hand massage you may try. The breakfast buffet has something for vegetarian s. Apart from the breads fruits and flakes, there are good cakes, pan cakes and one potato, tomato based item like roasted potato tomato and cheese etc...The room service is good . For lunch and dinner only pizza and pasta are on the menu with very limited vegetarian choice but you get lot of options including India n food in the market area. The highway no 6 to Phnom Penh ..Thai border is also very accesible. The happy hours at roof top bar 6 to 730 pm is really worth trying..AAvailable on drought beer and cocktails.

Room Tip: All rooms are great...you may choose higher floor

We only spent 2 nights in Siem Reap and found this hotel to be all that we needed.
The staff, welcoming on arrival with a reasonable grasp of English.
The room was spacious and fortunately I like a firm bed, hubby thought it a bit hard. Although after big days of visiting temples and a fishing village both of us slept well. Big bathroom with great lighting
The breakfast amazing with both local and Western food.
The bonus of this hotel is the walking distance to central Siem Reap and very close to the popular Pub Street
A lovely stay and fully recommend it!
Pool area lovely with elephant head fountains making it very inviting.

It is walking distance to central Siem Reap and the popular Pub Street which was

The place is nice and clean, really good location just across the river, walking distance to pub street and the old market.
The pool is a nice place to escape the afternoon heat after a morning at the temples and the rooftop bar provides a nice sunset.
def recommended.
