“Lovely staff, beautiful hotel”
Reviewed 5 February 2014

Haven't happened to stay with this hotel yet, but we have had breakfast there a few times and it has always been a second to none experience, as the staff are so sweet and friendly, as well as the food is really nice. Generous portions, great quality all coming at reasonable prices. Next rime we will definitely be stating with them!

We visited this hotel in November as part of a bigger trip, it was to coincide with the Angkor Wat half marathon. We had been recommended this hotel by our travel agent who when explained to we wanted a peaceful retreat, with great food and high service the Heritage Suites, they could not have got it any better! The hotel is located a little out of the small town, a few minutes but this gives the hotel a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, the entrance is hidden away and you feel as if you are transported in time when arriving, a vintage Mercedes parked outside reminds you of an era gone bye.

Our room was grand to say the least, designed to provide you with a relaxing time and with great facilities. The steam room for me was a very welcome addition. I also enjoyed taking my drinks in the garden whilst my wife slept so i didn't disturb her, although after the run I didn't move from the bed, which was comfortable as well as huge!

The food and drinks for a small hotel, well it was fantastic! The choice may not have been overwhelming but it was more then acceptable. The taste of the food was brilliant, I would certainly recommend anyone staying here eat here at some point, we had breakfast included but we also had snacks as well as a romantic dinner, the chef whose name I am unable to think of Cambodian man came to introduce himself and explain about the food it was a nice touch.

For us, the highlight of the stay was the staff! They are simply incredible, always smiling, always attentive and friendly. We met the GM a Mr Magnus and his assistant Ms Jam, they are such a friendly pair seemingly effortlessly meeting all guests in their 'office' of the bar and reception area, taking time to chat to all. it cant be easy saying hello to so many people and still having a smile, yet both seem to do it and love doing it... May be that is the key to this hotel everybody loves what they are doing, so you in turn love it! We shall be coming to enjoy all of Siem Reap and explore more of it's temples and charm and we know exactly where will be stayin!!

Room Tip: Chose any of the bungalows, although i heard if you upgrade you can get a jacuzzi or pool... Somethi...

We have a great time staying at Heritage Suites Hotel in January 2014. Staffs are highly attentive with sincere, honest, and friendly personality. Breakfast is amazing with cook-to-order menu of western and local cuisines. Food at restaurant is wonderful. We also use in-house tour agency, Heritage adventures. They did a great job organizing our temple and floating village visits. We also like the location of this hotel where it is outside of busy and noisy tourist area.

I stayed here and at the new Park Hyatt this trip. Three nights in each.

The Park Hyatt is more luxurious and has a more central location. It is also more expensive.

Heritage Suites is in a slightly funky location, has a more "real" vibe and I, personally, prefer it. There is not question that you are in Cambodia when you are here. At the Park Hyatt, you could almost be anywhere. They're both terrific, but they are very different hotels.

We stayed at the Heritage Suites for three nights in Nov. 2013. The staff was exceptional -- the manager came over to chat with us during happy hour; the servers knew our drink orders and were generous with the bottled water, delicious happy hour munchies, and plush pool towels. We loved the pool area, which is absolutely gorgeous. We also used the hotel's in-house guides and had wonderful trips into the Cambodian countryside on ATVs, biking to Angkor Wat, and to the floating village. Our guide was well-educated, frank, friendly, and totally flexible as far as doing what we wanted, when and how we wanted to do it. We also had the hotel's Khmer BBQ by the pool, complete with traditional dance show. Awesome. As far as getting into town -- not an issue. It's 5 minutes and $2 in a tuk-tuk.

The Heritage Suites was as I expected a high value property offering an oasis from the daily grind of Cambodia. I choose this hotel as I was travelling with my 6yo son and wanted somewhere clean and offering food that I knew would be safe to consume...along with a pool to relax.

The rooms are a wonderful and very generous in size and amenities. They apologised for not having a TV for my son to watch, but there is so much in Cambodia to keep you occupied, who needs a TV! The pool was a great place to unwind each afternoon after a morning adventure and the bar staff always provided us with a smile and looked after our every need.

The food was delicious and reasonable value for money...considering Cambodian prices.

I have heard complaints about the noise level, but this is Cambodia and there is noise everywhere....the local school next door provides lots of noise, but this is a wonderful noise. Hearing happy children is something to cherish, especially in a place like Cambodia that has suffered so much.

The tour desk and laundry prices should be reconsidered as they are charging Western prices for what you can get for a fraction of the cost in Cambodia. For example washing...we needed some clothes laundered and ironed. The hotel would have charged us about $50 USD for this, I had my Tuk Tuk driver take me around the corner and they were washed dried and iron din 4 hours for a grand total of $1.12 USD! Similarly with tours the price quoted over 3 days was about $800 USD...I think we spent about $250 to $300 for the Circus, Flight of the Gibbon, Angkor Wat temples, Artisans centre, night markets, mini golf and general Tuk Tuk travel.
