We flew in From Singapore and were delighted to be transported to our hotel in a 1960's Mercedes Benz. We loved the Hotel which is situated next to a Pagoda which serves as a landmark should one want to venture around the town.
The room was excellent , spacious , clean and thoughtfully decorated. The highlight of the hotel is the service and the food. After having spent 3 days in Singapore eating,in our opinion, rather overpriced and overrated food we were delighted with the food served in the restaurant at the hotel.
There is an excellent selection of wines to compliment the food and the prices were very reasonable for what we thought could easily pass muster at Michelin style restaurant.
The happy hour and the Jazz night on Thursday was a great touch and popular with even the locals.
We booked all our tours from the hotel and were extremely pleased with the guide who was knowledgeable and thoughtful. We were only going to use him for 1 day but after that we took him with us for the next day as well.
There loads of brand new hotels springing up all over the place but we recommend this hotel if you want to experience some old world charm and hospitality.
Most of the staff are graduates of a school that the hotel sponsors and they are so keen and helpful that they made our stay very memorable.

Room Tip: Go for the bungalow suites they are well worth the money

The moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the driver and the vintage car was very beautiful and classy. We were given cold towels and cold bottled water. Upon arrival at the hotel, the front desk staff showed us around the hotel and i should say, it's a very beautiful hotel and the staffs were very nice and welcoming.

The suite had the outdoor shower and indoor shower, sauna room, marvelous bath tub, and a very comfortable bed. The room doesn't have a television but you could request for it. The suite is made for honeymooners therefore, expect that there will be no doors for the shower and bathtub but you could also request for a divider. Since this hotel is nature inspired, expect mosquitoes and other bugs but the hotel has an insect spray and also provides an anti-mosquito repellent spray. The downside about the room is that the comfort room is separated from the shower and the Wifi in the room is extremely slow.

For the food, they offer breakfast and they have a good selection of items ranging from western food to local food. It's not a buffet but you can order as much as want. Quality of food is great and the servers are nice as well. They have a separate office for tours and activities. We booked the cooking class from them and it was fun and it should not be missed. We also asked Teka to organize our Angkor trip and it was excellent and hassle free.

Location wise, you wouldn't need to worry because tuktuks are readily available and Pub Street and Angkor temples are just 15 minutes away; going to Pub street only costs $2.

On our check out day, we needed to check out 12nn but our flight departs at 10pm. Jam gladly assisted us and let us stay in a room until it was time for us to go to the airport. She even gave us free drinks while waiting in the restaurant.

This hotel is highly recommended and they will definitely treat you like family. I will definitely return to this hotel for our future stay in Siem Reap.

Just arrived back from my 4 day/5night stay at the heritage suites and it was fantastic! The hotel itself is a lovely French mansion style building with high ceilings and a great bar/restaurant area. Food was really tasty, breakfast is ala carte including eggs Benedict, florentine, cereal options, bakery, fresh fruits, juices and crepes! The pool is perfectly hidden away for relaxation and rooms are comfortable, lovely touches like little gifts in the room each day, a built in travel office and vintage card parked out the front make this place a must if you're staying in Siem reap to visit Angkor plus it's all at a very reasonable price. Tuk tuks to Angkor take about 15 mins or it's around the same to pub street.

A four star review might be a bit mean but there are enough down sides so I really can't give it five.
Let me start with the positives. The hotel is luxurious and a wonderul contrast from the typical modern luxury developments springing up roud the town. The bar is great and a wonderful place to sit, have a drink and relax after a hard days sight seeing and we were lucky enough to be there for the jazz night which was great.
We stayed in one of the bungalows which was fabulous with a huge living space and a wonderful comfortable bed. It was also quiet and we had none of the disturbance others have talked about. The outside garden was a nice touch and we even used the shower. The pool is lovely and there is shade and sun to be had round it.
The whole atmosphere is relaxed and the staff attentive and friendly without feeling that it was in any way insincere.
Finally the place just looks great. It is so typically French colonial but updated to be an island of luxury and style.
So what are the negatives. I think the first must be the location. It is just a bit isolated. Even some of the tuktuk drivers didn't know where it was and thankfully I recognised the way home. Also however great the room it was just a bit odd - the shower was extremely dark, the WC was by the door to the room and the bath in the bedroom with the wash basins. So there wasn't really a bathroom just a series of bits and pieces arond the room. Also however much fun the garden was it felt a bit overlooked by the new block of flats next door.
The positives really do overwhelm the negatives. We loved staying there and I will repeat how wonderful the staff were. A great place to stay in a hotel that has real style and is wonderfully different.

Room Tip: Have a bungalow but be aware of the down sides.

We stayed in a bungalow suite for three days; loved the open room layout, steam sauna. Breakfast by the pool was nice, pumpkin dessert is highly recommended. Charming colonial grounds, had a very insular feel. Transportation was a breeze. Best part of the hotel, I must say, is the travel desk. We had two very memorable and enlightening tours given by a knowledgeable and articulate guide named Chang. Siem Reap is amazing and wonderful but I can't overstate the added value of a good tour guide. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family who want to stay away from the backpacking/hostel route and pay a little extra for some R&R. Hotel is not located near Pub Street and other nocturnal activities, but it's a $2 3-5 min. tuktuk ride away from all that night market hubbub.

Room Tip: Opt for the bungalow if you like staying in bed while on vacation.

The Benz was waiting at the airport. The driver was friendly and fun. We received a warm greeting at the desk and from Magnus. Our suite was outstanding - love the outdoor shower. It was nice not to have a TV in the room (just know they will bring one).

There are lots of choices in Siem Reap but I will stay here again.

I especially enjoyed the bar and lobby staff. There are a bunch of smart and delightful young people working at this hotel who really make the stay memorable. We shared many laughs. The food was outstanding. It was nice to have breakfast a la carte instead of a buffet. And they packed us a box breakfast for our early morning bird watching trip.

I enjoyed the selections in the gift shop - maybe the best editing of local things available I encountered at competitive prices.

Take your Spa in town, where the facility is larger, more interesting and more relaxing - for less than you'll pay at the hotel.

Take a hotel card with you when you head out. The main parts of town aren't very far away but the tuk-tuk drivers don't always know where the place is.

Room Tip: Go for the suite. It is a bargain.

This hotel was the climax of our trip from Vietnam to Cambodia!
- The decoration and the room equipment correspond exactly in what we dream every time we book in a luxury hotel.
- The "shop hotel" size provide peace and calm
- The general framework (reception hall, swimming pool, garden,...) is in a very classy modern colonial style
- The staff, from the manager to the chambermaid, is humanely and professionally top
- The meal is highly refined
=> onverall notation : " Beyond expectations" !!! :-))
