A small well designed boutique hotel a little distance from the centre of Siem Reap, perhaps too far to encourage walking to and from the hotel. It has a very nice pool but they could do with some extra loungers around it to discourage German practices. The food and drink was not very adventurous and rather generously overpriced – we only ate around the pool at lunch and had much better and cheaper dinners in town. The rooms were very well equipped but the photograph of the “Garden Suites” was very deceptive – the garden was less than a metre deep and ended in a 3 metre high wall with no view; there is no way you can sit out in them: very disappointing and not worth the extra money. Good staff – as everywhere in Cambodia.
Billed as the only “Relais Chateau” Hotel in Cambodia, this did not live up to expectations.More
