Best hotel we stayed at during our three months in SE Asia

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 10 Jun 2015
I travel a lot for work and pleasure and this hotel is a stand out. It was hands down the best hotel we stayed at during our three month trip in SE Asia. We were fortunate to get an upgrade and the service, comfort, luxury and facilities of the hotel are first class.

Sean Saing made our stay here a memorable and comfortable one. The staff are all lovely from Anna, Danny and Adam one of the doorman. I also liked staying at a Cambodian owned hotel which clearly looks after their staff who always have a smile or cold towel when we returned from our temple touring.

Our room was excellent, never had a problem with anything. The bed was the best I had slept on in a long time, wifi worked brilliantly, shower, bath, balcony view of the pool and gardens in the evening, no mosquitos at all during our stay here.

The breafast buffet was excellent. I am going to miss my daily cappacino. There are several stations including egg and crepe making. A wide choice of fruit, salad, pastries and juices. Best bacon I have had during our trip and the sausages were delicious. We also took advantage of the restaurant for lunch and a couple of dinners.

We used the spa three times to ease our aches from long days temple visiting. The masseurs are good and the environment clean and comfortable. There is also a very good gym on the ground floor.

The gardens are beautiful and there are even frogs hopping about which is something I have not seen before but shows the environment must be good for wildlife. The pool is great and we never had to fight for a lounger. I also liked the music playing in the garden.

I hope to return here one day for another week long visit. If you are looking for a place to stay while touring Angkor Wat then you will not go wrong chosing this hotel.

If you found the review useful I always appreciate a helpful vote.

We came here on a friends recommendation and as it turned out, it was not the exact hotel but the sister. We took the package deal which included lots of extras, privilege suite room, which was enormous- two TVs, powder room, main bathroom, free mini bar, private dining room, driver, guide, massages, happy hour(as many drinks as you handle and most importantly we had our laundry(8 items) done free each day.
Needless to say we have had an AWESOME time!!! Thank you to all the staff for chatting, helping, and doing absolutely everything for us..we will return. Special thanks to Sean, Nato, Sitha(our driver) and his team and Makara our guide!

The best part of the Privilege Floor @ Lotus Blanc experience was hands down the wonderful service. From airport pickup to drop off and everything in between, the hotel staff was appropriately attentive, helpful and courteous.

When booking with Privilege Floor, nearly everything is included such as an exclusive driver (in a nicely maintained Lexus SUV), breakfast served until 3PM, happy hour and more.

The overall facilities and room are all very clean, nice spacious pool area, and shop.

A couple minor areas of room for improvement:
1. There was a minor issue with the airport pickup as our flight arrived about 30 mins early, but the driver didn't arrive to pick us up until the scheduled flight arrival time. However, other than that, the rest of the service experience was great.
2. We were upgraded to a suite, which was very nice, however the room wreaked like cigarette smoke despite the rooms all being non-smoking. The hotel staff did what they could to mask the smell by bringing in oil burners, which was a nice gesture but unfortunately not enough.

All in all, a great experience and would recommend staying here.

We stayed in the Landmark King room facing the pool. The room was spacious, clean and the King sized bed was so comfortable.

The staff here are outstanding. Even before we arrived, booking the airport transfers and day trips were organised quickly and without a hassle. When we arrived at the hotel we were shown to our room straightaway where we provided our passports and completed the check-in process while sipping on our welcome drinks.

A big, special thank you to Roseth, who looked after our every need. He even provided us with a mobile phone with his number saved so we can call him any time if we needed to ask any questions or needed help. It was as if we had our designated concierge available to us 24/7.

We also booked a full day tour through the resort for US$80 from 8am for two of us. This included a private car and English speaking tour guide to see the temples. Don't forget to dress appropriately with shorts/skirts covering the knee and a top that covers the shoulders. Otherwise you'll be denied entry at one of the towers in Angkor Wat.

This was our first trip to Siem Reap and Cambodia, what a beautiful city with such warm and friendly people. We will be recommending Siem Reap as a destination and a stay at Lotus Blanc is a must.

My daughter and I just experienced an exceptional week at The Privilege Floor at Lotus Blanc thanks to the extraordinary service from all the staff plus the wonderful amenities. I initially booked the Privilege Floor at the Borei Angkor via TripAdvisor and emailed ahead to make sure we could get an Airport pick up as we were arriving at different times from different locations. Arriving at almost midnight, I was very happy to see a smiling Jacky (our Host) holding an iPad with my name on it . I was rather concerned however to be taken to the Lotus Blanc instead of the Borei Angkor, but as my daughter was already settled and there was a nice bottle of sparkling on ice, we decided to stay the night and move the morning and figure out what happened to our reservation. Jacky, our Resident Host was off the next day and Sean took over for him. He personally accompanied us to the Borei so we could tour the property I had confirmed and was very understanding about my concerns.
The Borei Angkor is a much bigger, colonial style hotel with a lovely tropical pool and I was already packing my bags. But after comparing rooms we both decided we preferred our room at the Lotus Blanc, more 'French' modern and only 6 months old with a sleek bathroom, and we really loved the staff at the Lotus. So back to the Lotus Blanc we went and so glad we did.
I know the Privilege Floor at either hotel would be great but here is what we experienced at Lotus Blanc-Airport pick up with private car and driver, champagne on ice waiting in our room, free daily stocked minibar with beer, sodas, water, daily inclusive breakfast at The Privilege Floor (until 3pm) or buffet downstairs at main restaurant, free daily laundry service (think it was 4 items each), free sunset cocktails from 5pm-7pm, incredible assistance for anything ie suggested tours from our 'concierge' and our favorite part, private car and driver committed only to us complete with a cell phone to contact him or our Hosts. Our driver Ching always met us with a beautiful smile (even at 4:30am to see the sunrise), cold washcloths and water after we had explored a temple and always knew where to go-the best! The wifi was good, food very good, rooms beautiful, maid service excellent.
We actually extended our trip by 2 days and decided to relax by the pool, have massages and vege. The massages at the hotel were excellent. The only note of caution is that this hotel is remodeling so during business hours there is some noise. This was not a problem for us as we were mostly out and about. We want to thank the wonderful staff, Jacky, Sean, Bunna, Sokny, Anna, Bopea, Nato who assisted us on the Privilege Floor, and we can't say enough about our wonderful driver, Ching! Hope to be back.

Room tip: Get a room away from elevator-a bit noisy

Everything about our stay was extraordinary but the staff in particular is the true gem of the privilege floor. The service was impeccable and unparalleled. From the pickup to the drop off at the airport, every wish was granted with enthusiasm. Especially Bopea and Mr. Kea stood out, both lovely human beings that went all out to make our stay truly memorable. Thank you so much!
