Rooms are spacious and clean. Nice bath with shower, no frills, just the basics. AC and fan (necessary after a long day hiking around the Angkor sites) work wonderfully. TV in the room although I never turned it on. Staff is probably one of the friendliest I have ever encountered anywhere. Food and bar were just fine. Swimming pool was a nice cool down after being out and about in some pretty decent heat. Location is great, not far from anything. It's a $3.00 tuk-tuk ride to Pub Street. Lots of fun and quite safe.
Lodge owner Andre and his lovely wife are splendid hosts and a wealth of information should you need it. Siem Reap is a pretty funny place where you can spend from $6.00 per night for a guesthouse or $1,200 a night for some seriously high octane digs. If you are going to see Angkor sites why bother with the high rent places when this great little oasis will fit your basic and then some lodging needs. There were four of us in our group and we all thought is was quite wonderful. Do not get nervous when you are approaching the hotel (you will spend a couple hundred yards on a dirt lane), the neighborhood is fine.
