Downtown Siem Reap Hostel
Reviewed 27 January 2013 via mobile

This is probably the best place to stay in Siem Reap for this price. They have regular rooms too, can't comment there, I stayed in the dorm. Clean room, towel provided, clean bathrooms down the hall, good food, nice new swimming pool. Staff are not as friendly as they could be sometimes, and will overcharge you to book onward transport. Book your bus ticket in town. Bunks are squeaky and wobbly, there are no lockers, and they need more electrical outlets. If you ask, you can get a top sheet and a blanket. No A/C is a bummer, barking dogs at night, and there are a couple mosquitos, but that's Cambodia for you.

This place is currently undergoing some renovations and will be fantastic when it's done.
The pool has just been open and is perfect for a refreshing dip after a day of temple touring.
Staff were very friendly and helpful with any requests we had!
Great location, highly recommend!

We spent three nights here and had some of our best nights sleep. The rooms look newly renovated and decor is nice, we had a double room with private bathroom and it came with a TV and hot water. The hotel also has a pool and a bar outside with a pool table. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and it is only a 5 minute walk to the old market and pub street. Considering the price paid, this was the best hotel we have stayed in so far (in Cambodia).

Some of the most friendly and helpfull staff I have experienced! The manager is very kind and good at giving advices on activities in the area and the rest of the staff is good at english and very serviceminded.
During my stay i had trouble with my visa for Vietnam but the manager sorted it all out and even called the busservice i was going to travel with and had my ticket changed.
When I went to see Angkor Wat I got their phonenumber so I could call for directions if I got lost.
The food at the hostel is great and the khmer food is pretty just the same as the local price. Each dorm have a bathroom and the price is really cheap!

We booked this hostel based mostly on the previous positive reviews. They weren't wrong! The owner Mark, David and the rest of the staff are very friendly and will help you in any way possible. We booked a standard double bed with private ensuite, which was clean, spacious and comfortable.
Unfortunately for us they were just finishing building the swimming pool, we missed that by a day. But it looked very nice!
If you go to Siem Reap, we would definetely recommend this hostel!

We arrived here as our first preference was fully booked. Glad we did. We turnt up without a booking and had no problem getting a room.
All the staff were great and very helpful.
Mark the owner is an Englishman who can provide you with lots of useful information about the area. As well as David the Manager who was lovely & helpful. Practically all our travel and trips in siem reap & on our departure were arranged by the staff here which saved us the bother!
Great place for a full English breakfast after the night before! Well needed !
The rooms were clean, spacious and safe.
Cheap booze at the bar & in a great location.
Defiantly up there on my list of recommended places to stay. Even more so once the pool is complete (by Dec 2012) as there is hardly any swimming pools around!

The staff set this place apart from other guesthouses. They are friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and tidy but the air conditioner was noisy! They are currently putting in pool which will be perfect for the hot dry heat of summer.
