Upon arrival at the airport we were greeted by the hotel representative and drove us to the hotel with a friendly chat along the road. When we reached the hotel, another staff ushered us to the lobby and helped us to do the necessary paperwork for check-in. We were given a cool tower to refresh ourselves as well as their welcome drink which is lemon grass drink. Very refreshing. Hotel room were spacious and clean with large TV. Hotel lobby were grand and very welcoming. Internet at the lobby were fast.
Going to Old Market only 5-10 min by Tuk Tuk which were plenty for a cost of US2. Very convenient. Its also near to Angkor Wat . I will definitely stay here on our next visit.

Booked via Agoda for around 50$ (all inc.). Check in was super courteous. I was invited to sit down and given a cup of cold sweet tea. Was brought to a room with 2 doubles, but upon my request, it was changed to a room with a king bed. The bed was comfie (by Asian standard...all beds are hard there), the decor quite nice, large bathroom, LCD TV with many channels in English (Thai cable), a portion of fruits was brought on my first day. Free Wifi internet!

The pool was a delight! The gym was a bit minimal but I didnt use it given my excursions to Angkor Wat (plenty of exercise). My package included a 30 min. foot massage and let me tell you, they know what they are doing.

Breakfast was plentiful, mix of East and West, with courteous and friendly wait staff.. Very pleased with this hotel. Splendid!

Room tip: book via Agoda

My family of 2 adults, 2 children, we spent nice experience in this hotel. We were there for 6 Days and 5 nights and it was enough to get great experience from the hotel and Siem Reap. Everybody is very friendly, which make to feel as part of the hotel Family. The Restaurant, The SPA, The baby sitting service, all was great. Additionally the Hotel upgrades us to the next level of the room and it was really comfortable to our children. It was only few issues with ants on the bed but no big deal. Another small issue is related to improvement of the cleaning of the room and always offers high quality of the rooms. In conclusion, I highly recommend this hotel and I will return here if we go back to Siem Reap

Room tip: Apply for tour packages to get upgrading of the rooms

The Tara Angkor was in a great location - just up the road from the entrance to temples and close to the centre of town.

My family (inc 11 and 14 yr old kids) had 2 interconnecting rooms that were comfortable and spacious. The buffet breakfast had a wide and delicious selection to keep the whole family happy. The pool area was a lovely cool oasis in the heat of the day - a welcome respite for the kids who at times suffered "temple lag".

The staff were very helpful and the free internet in the lobby was very handy. Myself and my daughter each had aromatherapy massages at the spa (her first and now she is addicted!)

Our only issue was that the washing service was incredibly expensive - we ended up finding a local laundry much cheaper, though must say the few items we did get washed by Tara Angkor came back beautiful and hung up for us.

Our family package included a family dinner which we booked for the first night - it was lovely and helpful because we didnt yet have the lay of the land as to where we should eat yet.

We are planning another trip to Siem Reap in the future and most definitely will be staying at the Tara Angkor again.

My husband and I stayed at Tara from 2/7-5/7 and absolutely enjoyed the hotel. Tara exceeded our expectation. After checked in, we were being escorted to our room by a hotel staff. Upon reaching, we heard renovating noises from a nearby room and requested for a change of room. The staff immediately attended to our request and even suggested that we wait in the existing room while she arranges for another room. The room is spacious, clean and has all the necessity you could name. Waiters/waitresses at the hotel restaurant were polite and attentive. We loved to dine at the hotel restaurant, the food was delicious and cheap as compared to other local restaurants. The free breakfast buffet has some variety of food. We also enjoyed their spa services. The prices are reasonable and their services were excellent (their spa is popular, do make appt in adv). The hotel provides free wifi, gym, sauna, etc. The swimming pool is quite small and crowded though.
