My girlfiend and I were really hoping to visit the Huasco Salt Flats and go sandboarding while in Iqueque. Not particularly confident that we´d be able to make it happen on short notice, we emailed Mistico. Leo responded immediately, and within a few hours we had all the details worked out for our departure the following day (including pick up from our hotel).

Leo and Billy have a genuine passion for being outdoors and helping visitors experience the best of northern Chile (with a dedication to eco-friendliness). They are extremely responseive via email, speak excellent English, and do a great job of assembling a customized itinerary to fit your interests.

If you´re visiting Iquique and looking to get outside to experience anything from site seeing to mountain biking or sandboarding, call Mistico and they´ll help make sure you have a great time in the process.

Went out for an all-day tour to Isluga National Park yesterday. Our tour guides (Billy and Leo) were very knowledgeable of the area, spoke great English, and were very friendly. We made several stops along the way, including the Atacama Giant, several villages, the Puchuldiza Geysers, and Arabilla Lagoon. They provide snacks, lunch, and water, so all you need to bring is a camera, sunglasses and some warm clothes (it gets a bit cold in the evening). Visiting the Atacama desert region is best done with tour guides, as it'd be pretty easy to get lost if you don't know where you're going.

One other thing to add is that Mistico Outdoors is very responsive to email and accommodating for tours if they can help it. I got to Iquique with no reservations, sent an email on Tuesday afternoon (which Leo promptly answered), got arrangements set via email, and they picked us up for the tour on Wednesday morning. Very easy to work with.

I highly recommend Mistico Outdoors! They're the best!

From Iquique, port on the North of CHILE,we went to the ISLUGA Volcano Park at about 12,000 feet, where we saw a Geyser field(continuos action)villages dating back to the 1600s,or earlier.Saw plenty wild life, did some bouldering(Actual rock climbing may start
in 2012) Visited some thermal baths, etc. All these in an excellent 4X4 van, lunch provided,
The 2 brothers(Leo&Willy Morales)speak perfect english, they know the region and the people that live there,as well as the flora and fauna, customs, traditions etc. They can arrange for etnotourism with interaction with the AYMARA people. Also trecking and camping,ETC. SUPERB service,at the riht price modifying their usual itinerary to fit what
we wanted to see and do. Recomend them very highly. They were clean, responsable'
returned phone calls and e-mails,very punctual. Wish all tour guides/operators were
this good.
