Spent the night here after a week in Torres del Paine, in addition to having a toasty warm room there was also a shower in it and the group probably used all the hot water for the week getting clean. There are three distinct sitting area's, two with fireplaces so you can make yourself very much at home. When I turned up my nose at the selection of beers in the café the owner actually ran across the street to the Alcea Restaurant to get my selection and the service by the girls (guessing his daughters) at breakfast was even better. I agree with my fellow reviewer trav_eler31350 that this was more like a B&B than a hostel and I would highly recommend it with the only drawback being the traffic outside the windows in the morning.

This hostel is lovely with a great ambience. Our room was nice and big with attached bathroom. There was also a couple of sitting areas with log fireplace. Staff were very friendly and spoke in fluent english which was very helpful. Attached to the hostel is a most amazing cafe where they sell cakes, brownies, coffee, tea etc. Very centrally located with most restaurant within 10mins walking distance. Loved this place with its great ambience.

Room Tip: Make sure room is ensuite.

this "hostal" more like a BnB! it was our final resting location after hiking in Patagonia. it's on the edge of puerta natales so it's off the busy driving streets. the lobby is a cute coffee and pastry shop with all sorts of organic and natural goodies along with some great chocolates. the ladies whom assisted us to our rooms spoke a little english and were super friendly.

there are two common rooms that have wood fire places. it was so cozy and warm. my room was located next to a side street. the bed was firm and warm, and the bathroom had great hot water and pressure. the room itself was designed with local art work and was very pleasing.

if you stay here, avoid rooms on the street side. all night, drunks were walking home and talking and since the walls are so thin and there is no insulation on the glass, it sounds like they are in your room. i had to take an extra sleeping pill and use earplugs to fall asleep at 2am.

but the place is cozy and well kept.

Room Tip: avoid rooms with any wall sharing a street

Stayed here for the second time last week after trekking the W. Rooms are simple, but the cozy feel and great breakfast are comforting. The ladies running the B n B were kind and receptive. They even opened up the cake case early so we could buy cake for the bus ride to the airport. Amazing cakes.

Great times great place.

Our group stayed there in January, the ladies running the hotel were very friendly and spoke Spanish, French and English. Our room was small but very nice and some others had beautiful large rooms. The breakfast was very good and the overall feel of the hotel was very cosy and friendly. The Wifi worked really well, which was key for our group.
We would definitely stay again if we come back to Puerto Natales.
PS. the restaurant across the street is great too.

Stayed here around trips to torres del pain and el calafate etc. First I just have to say we have traveled alot and are generally pretty easy going. This place is just standard in patagonia so if you can find somewhere cheaper it will be better value. The walls are paper thin, you can almost hear people breathing next door which as I mentioned earlier is pretty standard for patagonia. We had a shared bathroom and cant complain about it being busy because we accept that happens when you choose to share a bathroom but twice I had to find someone to get toilet paper because there wasn't any there. The shower head was completely broken and the water would just hit the wall half way down the shower and twice it fell on my head while I was trying to squeeze up against the wall just to get wet. Plus it wouldnt drain at all. The room window was literally right on the street which is ok, except if the blind doesn't cover the window properly and people are walking past and looking at you! The heating didnt get turned on up our end of the building one night so it was freezing in the morning. The room was dusty. Just lots of little problems that add up and annoy you when your paying decent money to stay somewhere.
Most of all what had us scratching our heads the most was the breakfast everyone raves about?? It was ok. You can help yourself to tea/coffee, yoghurt and muesli but thats about it. You get a one tablespoon sized serving of average scrambled eggs and one morning they didnt even ask if we wanted eggs. Plus the mornings we were there, other tables were being served pieces of cake and biscuits and we were never offered anything?? Which we thought was very weird. We noticed all the spanish speakers were getting these extras so maybe there was a secret password we didnt know about because an American couple said the same thing happened to them at breakfast.

My bf and I stayed 5 nights in December, using Puerto Natales as a base for day trips to Torres del Paine. We stayed in a double room with shared bathroom and enjoyed the hostal. The staff were friendly and assisted with booking tours and tips for buses. The wi-fi connection was great in all areas. As other reviewers have mentioned, the breakfast is amazing (especially if you are coming from Argentina where bfast tends to be more modest). They had yogourt, cereals, toast, eggs, cold-cuts, cheese and sometimes cookies. The shared bathroom is a private bathroom- which is nice (and kept very clean), but my only complaint is that on a few nights when the hostal was at capacity, it was constantly in use, which was a little frustrating.
