Thr place feels cosy, and the rooms are rather spacious.
The whole place is in a state of disrepair. The walls are thin and the floors crank. All the noise can be heard in the room.
The room cannot be darkened as the curtains are very light.

We not only had no lock on the bedroom door, it was right next to the front door on a main road! The door was also fristed glass, so if you like a normal level of privacy, i suggest you stay elswhere. The bathroom was at the back of the kitchen so in the morning when you wake up and need a wee, you have to walk past all the other guests sitting down for breakfast to get to the loo!
Not a great find, but i guess it was cheap.

It was a nice find among other much more expensive options in the same street. The hostel is an old charming, 2-storey building. It is super well-located, nicely decorated, newly opened (only 5 months at time of stay), clean room and comfortable bed, with decent breakfast and kitchen use. The bathroom was shared between 2 rooms so it was perfectly fine.

However the wifi was working half the time during our 3-night stay (despite efforts to resolve promptly), it should be ok by now. Our room on the groundfloor was quite bare with almost no furniture except for a bed and a chest of drawer, we felt we lacked hooks / hangers to hang towel / clothes, and bedside tables for our night stuffs (all was on the floor). So it was quite minimallist.

Rooms are generally noisy from stairs squeaking or guests talking in common areas (our glass-frosted bedroom door lets sound and light pass easily). Doors cannot be locked (from inside or outside) and the main entrance door is opened with an "under-the-mat key". It may be a general practice in Punta Arenas due to high safety standard in the city but, still, we were not used to that.

Overall, it was still good value for money comparatively to other options in the same street.

We eventually found our way here after finding our initial choice was full.

Probably a bad choice of name as no backpacker is going to walk into a place called B & B. We first went to another hostel down the road - Barefoot Packpackers. Then when we discovered they don't give you sheets and saw the stains on the pillows and matress' we decided not to stay. The staff member then directed us to B & B which has the same owner.

It felt quite homely. The dorm just had three single beds in it. A bit more furniture would have been handy.

The bathrooms were nicely decorated in hotel style in a way you don't normally find in hostels. With good, modern showers. I found the temperature a bit iffy though (one day super hot water, another luke warm).

An ok breakfast was included in the price and the kitchen was available for your usage (big supermarket nearby).

The staff member - Juan Pablo was helpful and talkative.

There was no internet of any sort (wi fi box had not been hooked up) but you could go to the barefoot sheetless place and use the computers there.

One night some other guests need some help with their gas fire and there was no one staff member there or at the other hostel. We were left alone with no means of contacting anyone if there had been a serious problem. Not ideal.
