Arrived December 31, 2010 for 6 nights. Upon arrival the hotel was all glass and very new. Check in was a breeze and the staff very helpful and knowledgeable. The room was very spacious, very modern and clean with all the amenities you could want. The view was spectacular.....large widows the length of the room with a commanding view of the Strait of Magellan. The room we reserved was a suite for just a little more per night than a standard room. Everything exceeded our expectations, especially since we were in Punta Arenas 2 years ago and stayed at a different hotel which was almost the same price per night as Dreams and was very substandard in comparison. The pool is absolutely spectacular.....infinity indoor pool which looks right out on the waterfront, also the sauna was top notch. Beautiful spa offering massages. The morning breakfast included in the rate was very good and a large spread. The omelet station was late getting started however, but otherwise very good. The casino is right off the lobby and has all the slots etc. you could want. Accross the street is a grocery store which we found convenient and also a travel agency for booking excursions. The location is waterfront in Downtown so restaurants and shops are very close by within watking distance. Our stay was very good and we will definitely stay at Dreams our next trip to Punta Arenas this year and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel.

We originally booked a stay at another hotel in Punta Arenas, but didn't really like it at all, so we checked out a few other hotels in town and finally chose the Dreams Hotel... The building really stands out from the rest of town as it is the only modern looking building.. Found out it was opened mid-2009, so pretty much brand new..

Rooms are very big and new, and is as good as any international chain hotel anywhere in the world.. Flat screen TV, internet access in every room and great views of either the city of Mangellan Strait.. Most staff we met in general were very friendly and accomodating and spoke good english, and they aimed to please.. The rate was also quite reasonable compared to other 4 star hotels in the city, so we decided to spend our 3 day stay at this hotel...

The restaurants in the hotel were quite bland and boring though, so besides the free breakfast which was included in our rate, we didn't really eat in the hotel.. There were also some construction going on outside the hotel, so early in the morning we could hear some noise from outside, but it was not a big deal.. Also, the hotel was a few blocks away from the main square, which is good and bad depending on how close you want to be to everything..

We would highly recommend this hotel if you want an international quality hotel in Punta Arenas, with large comfortable rooms..

A new hotel that opened in March 2009. I attended a 3 day workshop/meeting at the hotel.

Adjacent to the pier where tourist ships and working boats dock, the Dreams Hotel is a shining new building amidst a rather run-down area. Attached to the hotel is a casino.

The rooms were excellent and large although some minor repairs/snagging is needed to attach power sockets to the wall and the push button toilet flush. The coffee lounge in the reception area sells toasted sandwiches, coffees and drinks and is staffed by excellent and enthusisatic staff. The staff in the main restaurant are also enthusisatic but at breakfast they need to ensure they serve the right food to the right person and keep the buffet filled with food.

An opening event for our meeting was held in the Sky lounge on the top floor of the hotel. Excellent views across the Magellan Strait and the service was excellent.

I very much liked the hotel with its very cheery and helpful staff. Even when there were problems at breakfast, the staff were endeavouring to be helpful. The casino, for those who do not like such places, is in a closed area adjacent to the main hotel entrance - it is easy to walk past it.

I would definitely stay here again.
