The location is great, but the lobby of the hotel is not as pleasing. it is located inside a
Mall. The ceiling of the mall near the hotel elevators is leaking with water, it might be cause by rain, even in the lobby some portion is leaking when it rains heavily. For the rooms are clean and beds and pillows are soft and big enough. Wifi is free and good.
The hotel staff are very professional but hardly speak english. TV channels are mostly
Chinese, only CCTV News is in english. For breakfast, the foods have so many choices
but not that great. The hotel is cater for locals not for business or international travelers. The value for a night is very fair.

Central location near pedestrian streets and Gulangyu ferry. Layout was weird as reception is in the lobby of a mall but it was well sign posted and easy to find. Staff were professional but not very forthcoming with information. They seemed to like to pass the buck. Reception would refer us to the concierge and vice versa. Why even have all these people around if their sole purpose is to be useless and unhelpful?

Housekeeping was wonderful though. Rooms were a good size, with good light, clean and had all the expected amenities. Wired internet worked well. The bathroom was glass encased but had a full curtain so was really a separate room.

Breakfast was extensive and had maybe too many choices, but staff here were brusque and surly. Overall though, not a bad hotel if you know what you're doing and don't need to interact with staff.

The hotel was converted from a 5-storey shopping mall with spacious rooms at very convenient location. Shopping street and bus stops are just 5-min walk away.

APPRECIATION
1) Shopping is very convenient as there are plenty small shops in the exterior of the hotel complex
2) Good wifi transmission but only available in public area only
3) Wide selection of real-time and on-demand tv programme
4) Spacious & quiet room with spacious toilet as well

DISAPPOINTMENT
1) Rooms without any view. My room was located on 5/F and could see the sky and high-rises only.
2) No one arrange seat for breakfast so it was not a pleasant experience to fight for a table
3) Foods at breakfast were really so-so and not value for money. No refill of soya milk during breakfast when it was only 8:15am
4) Reception area is unexpectedly located in the middle of the shopping mall that do not look very professional. (Confirmed that the staff are not very professional neither)
5) Staff at recepition desk were not very professional. On my day of checkout, I was asked if I wanted my room charges be deducted from deposit or direct debit. The staff did it wrong and was unrecoverable that my deposit ought to be freezed for another month!

Located within a shopping square. Most of the shops here are selling mostly clothes and shoes and closes around 11 pm some even later.

The reception of this hotel is set in a corner of a shopping mall, which is easy to find and the taxi drivers know both the mall and the hotel. The staff at reception were friendly and spoke limited English but they did try to understand. When we got to our room, we were immediately struck by the lightness of the décor, instead of the dark heavy rooms we had been in in other hotels. Our second surprise, and delight, was that the beds were lovely and soft – yes, soft! And clean! We spent 4 blissful nights there! The room was spacious with a desk for the wired internet and all the usual facilities, AC, coffee, tv etc. The bathroom was made with glass walls, a feature of many hotels in China. Breakfast was served as a buffet on the second floor, and had cereal, cooked eggs and toast and jam for westerners. There is also a buffet dinner for 95 RMB which has a large selection.

For a stay in Xiamen, within walking distance of the port, I really cannot fault this hotel apart from the dirty carpets which seem to be everywhere in China. I strongly recommend it.

Once you get over the fact that the reception of this hotel is in a shopping mall and is a bit difficult to find all is good from there on. Conveniently located near the sea front and the large pedestrian shopping street, the rooms in this hotel are huge, light and airy. The beds are luxurious for China, large and very comfortable with good bed linen. Kettle, hair dryer, TV (all Chinese) are provided. The bathroom is very modern and is encased in glass inside the room. There is a curtain to protect your modesty. The staff at reception speak very little English but there is usually enough of them so that someone can help.

The breakfast buffet is large and varied with many Chinese dishes but also Western including fried eggs, bacon, cereals, toast and jam and a variety of buns. The dinner buffet is very good value (94 RMB) and also has a huge selection including fresh fruit, delicious desserts and some more esoteric dishes such as turtle and sea worm jelly!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone simply because of the comfortable beds and the large light rooms. It does have the odd drawback – the carpets are not very clean (quite common in China) and some of the dining room chairs could do with a steam clean .

if you don't mind the see through toilets then the room is perfect for you.. duvet, 2 pillows on the bed, no need to ask for extra pillows. air conditioning units works perfectly, working table, wifi internet, rooms are quite clean, mini balcony but be careful with the steps. its quite high. flat screen tv. business traveler this hotel is just right. the room lighting condition is okay as well.Room number is confusing since it starts with 8.. but its not on the eight floor. you should follow the second number. but other than that the hotel would be perfect.

although language is still a barrier. if you know fookien and mandarin then it shouldn't be a problem as well .
