Millennium Harbourview Hotel, Xiamen. What harbor view? The harbor or it view is nowhere near this hotel. I think this hotel is probably middle ranking hotel.
This is one of the Millennium & Copthorne International Hotels & Resort chain, part of the Grand Millennium, Millennium, Copthorne & Kingsgate.
Got the King Commercial non-smoking room at 11th floor, for CNY 579. Room face the front of hotel, noisy traffic and construction & very loud annoying non-stop radio from this electronics shop across the street, shall avoid this side if possible. We were given a box of rice cake, made locally, at check in. Breakfast not included. Buffet breakfast below average. The coffee was bitter and we Americans are not accustom to, but Europeans may like.
Small room with tiny bathroom which can only accommodate one person at a time. Internet charge CNY 10 per hour and CNY 30 per day, but for corporate local business rate room, this internet charges were waived. Did not have a chance to check out the swimming pool at 3rd floor.
Large flat LCD TV but in lowest composite analog resolution. Typical hotel cable channels, CNN, HBO, Cineamax, ESPN, Star Sports, BBC, Chinese cable, CCTV & local Xiamen channels – at around 50 channels.
Exit hotel at left, turn left, walk along busy & crowded street lined with shops, you will find MacDonald & KFC among the other locals.

We arrived in late December after 3 horrendous days in the Wuyi mountain region so a spacious warm room with soft fluffy bed and friendly staff really cheered us up.

The hotel is 5 minutes' walk from Zhongshan Road where shopping, entertainment, small eateries and restaurants are plenty. It is also conveniently located near the ferry point for Gulangyu and easily accessible to other attractions by 10-15 minutes' taxi rides.

The Cafe serves a good mix of local and western food where we had a dinner and 2 breakfasts. While the room service menu does not lists all the items available from the Cafe, they readily agreed to send us a much-loved dish upon our request on our last night.

The room - the executive floor did not disappoint in terms of decor and comfort, and we got our much needed rest in a quiet room on a very high floor as requested. The housekeeping staff was relentlessly helpful with our tedious pillow search and kudos to them for our well-kept room and good laundry services.

I'm sure everyone would enjoy staying at this hotel.

Offering a decent 4* hotel at affordable prices, the Millenium is a sound base from which to explore and conduct business.
Rooms are clean and well decorated, the only downside being the lack of broadband availability. Staying in an executive room, I really expected more.
Restaurants are good, with food being of a high quality by Chinese standards.
Typical cheesy American bar but hey, your in China not Chicago.

Xiamen is a place with a lot to offer and this hotel is one such place. My husband and our 6 month old baby thoroughly enjoyed our 6 nights stay. All the staff were not only friendly but helpful. Many of staff speak English. We felt valued and cared for during our stay. We enjoyed the location, the spacious, clean and comfortable room, the buffet breakfasts and also the other restaurants the hotel has to offer. It is a great hotel for the family even having a doctor on site which we unfortunately had to access when our little one had a temperature. This is a four star hotel with five star qualities. You won't be disappointed.

I had a residential suite for a few weeks that I was staying at the Millennium Xiamen and I was extremely happy with the hotel. Excellent staff - they're very friendly and understand that there is a huge language problem out on the streets so they came out with me and helped translate from English to Chinese whenever off-duty and possible. The rooms are kind of old-styled, but they shifted me to the renovated floor as soon as I told them this. Awesome place to stay in, even over very long periods.
