Hotel is good for local standards in this area, not quite a Hilton or Intercontinental. Rooms are large, luxurious and clean. Sleep comfort is very good and the rooms totally quiet. The noisy KTV seems definitely to be history… at least for now and up to Guangdong government policy.

My biggest complaint: how can it be, that I was eaten alive by mosquitos in the indoor lobby? Seriously, this is not an outdoor tropical setting, but smack in the middle of the AC hotel lobby with a squadron of hungry Mozzie’s attacking!

The most attacks were in the lobby bar, which is right next to the main restaurant and the front desk. Totally unacceptable, considering the risk of mosquito borne diseases. There must be an issue with pest control! Good news is that the hotel room was almost Mozzie free.

Room AC was not working when arriving; Maintenance was swift to repair the issue, although it never got really cool, however sufficiently comfortable.

Breakfast is a good mix between local and intercontinental, service is friendly attentive but with inferior basic waiting skills… they kept trying to remove my plate while cutlery placed on sides and plate which was still a third full. Food quality is acceptable but not 5* level.. 4*at the most. The dinner buffet had good spread too but disappointingly underwhelmed in taste as well.

English skills are generally on the very low side. Any question out of the basic hotel jargon was answered by helpless expression of communication gap. Not unusual for China outside a major town or international hotel chain. But for a self-proclaimed ***** hotel not adequate!
For example: Check-in was barely more than an exchange of hand signs and credit card imprint in exchange of a room key card. I had to ask several times for the Breakfast hours and ended up returning 2 hours later to ask again, this time another front desk staff was actually able to understand and answer my question.

My rating, barely average with upside potential…. Once they get over their lack of KTV business shock and fix the indoor Mozzie issue

Stayed at the Eurasia for the fifth time. It is much improved now that the KTV is shut down and it is no longer a brothel masquerading as a hotel !
They can now get back to basics and cater for business travellers.
The gym has been expanded with a weights area. The cardio room now has 8 running machines! Why not have two runners, two cross trainers and a rower. Maybe they got a bulk rate on running machines!.
However still one of the best hotels in area.

Wonderful hotel in Dong Guan. Breakfast buffet is wonderful and has an egg making station as well. Beautiful patio and room has beautiful atmosphere. They have major golf packages for the golfers which I understand play great courses.

Good restaurant selection for meals and excellent concierge staff.

Hi all.

This hotel was one of the best in nearby hotels for last 3 years that I visit Donguan.
This time it was very cold weather: ~10C.
The issue is this hotel has no heating... So if you are from the hot country you'll need to think twice before traveling that time as NO ONE HOTEL in Donguan has heating.
The other thing is KTV now closed in Guandong province and almost all hotels 20-30% full.
This makes the breakfast quite poor and business lunch is just simply closed.

So far this hotel still one of the best and I'll recommend it to others.

Regards,
TT

By far this is the best hotel for the money in the area. I booked an executive room on upper floor. Very clean and large. Did not figure out the door for the bathroom till the last day. (you need to slide the wall panels to close the bathroom). The shampoo and body wash smelled really nice. Also there is a huge KTV lounge downstairs if you want to unwind and a great buffet breakfast along with the sushi restaurant (i did not go). Service was great and quick.

This is my second stay here and this review is based on experiences staying at many hotels in China. At first sight the hotel looks great and the room rates reflect this, but after a short while the cracks begin to show. The breakfast is OK, the choice of food is good the quality falls short, for example the dining room is large but there is only 1 single coffee maker making a quick breakfast challenging. The hotel has a lot traffic generated by the Spa and night club and more than once the Karaoke crowd continue late into the night in the rooms making sleep hard to come by. The buffet at dinner is OK at 6:30pm but 7:30 the food is suffering from being out for along time and the dishes that are popular are finished and not replenished. On the plus side the bar is good and snacks are available late at night. I will be staying somewhere else next time.
