This restaurant is super bad, I just hate it. The sevice is really bad and the food doesnt even look italian. The chinese mad a fake version of it, it sucks. The food does not worth money it is just that bad. When you see the pictures of the menu looks kind of good but when you try it it is bad. The only strength that their have a good atmosphere.

The restaurant is in the building next to the Marriott, which is nowhere near a subway stop and is located next to a limited access road, making it hard to get to. And if you missed the sign for Milano, it's because it's not flashy or even on the facade of the building like most restaurant signage. It's at the car drive-in btw it and the Marriott.

Located in a commercial district, this restaurant likely caters to the lunch crowd. I went on a Sunday evening to find it empty except for two other diners.

The service was helpful, and it had a rather large Italian menu. The ambience is nice enough, but not noteworthy. The food suffered from the trying-to-be-Western-in-China syndrome, which misleads one into thinking the food might be Italian, when it's more of a Chinese version of Italian.

The minestrone was delicious, but not minestrone by any means. The eggplant parmagiana was neither eggplant nor parmagiana, and could probably use some work. The tomato sauce was a little lifeless as well.

It might be nice to try something different here if you're in the area (eg. staying at the Marriott), but there are many other places that are better and more convenient to go to.

When I first came to Shenzhen I wasn't sure if I would be able to find a good Italian restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised when I visited Milano at the recommendation of a friend. Their pizza is done to perfection with a thin, crispy crust, a mouth-watering sauce and mild cheese. I also had regular spaghetti and was equally satisfied. They have a good selection of wines and the service is friendly and efficient. Conveniently located next to the J.W. Marriott hotel, Milano is easy to find and is a tasteful getaway from the regular hustle and bustle of the city.

Found this restaurant by chance with my wife, as expats we lean towards western cuisine but it's always a challenge in China. Our expectations were exceeded here -- quite unique to find authentic native cooking in Shenzhen of all places. My wife had the NZ sole with capers and I had the tagliatelle with mushroom/sausages -- both were prepared and presented well. We'll look to try their pizzas in the future as they seem to be the popular item seeing numerous takeouts being picked up throughout the night.
