Really enjoy my visit here. With the admission fee RMB150, I can learn about China cultural and its habits, also enjoy with all the cultural show with additional cost but worth to see.
Time for the show :
- Horse war show : 11.30 am, 02.00 pm, 04.10 pm. Cost RMB10/person
- Oriental costume show/impression China : 05.00 pm. Cost RMB50 for normal seat or RMB80 for VIP
- Dragon and Phoenix show : 07.30 pm. Free cost exchange with entry ticket for normal seat or RMB50 for VIP

Here we also take picture wearing traditional costume for RM20/person (costume rent fee + 1 picture.... not allowed using our own camera)

Very easy to reach here, just used metro line and get down at Huaqiaocheng/Overseas Chinese Town (OCT) – exit D

“Reflections of Historical, Cultural and Customary Habits of ancient Chinese”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

Spending time to browse through all the miniatures and models built in the Splendid China Folk Village covering about 30 hectares of land required more than 6 hours. However, there are cars and trains to transport tourists around the Village, to visit the Great Wall of China, Forbidden City, Double Dragon Water Fountain,Temple of heaven, Three Gorges Dam, Potala Palace, the Dai Village, Horse Riding Show, and Chinese Cultural Show etc.
Indeed, this visitation to the Village will help to reflect all the Historical, Cultural and Customary Habits of the Ancient Chinese. Tourists wishing to know more on the History of China can just go this village and have a look at all the miniatures and models built for this purpose.

“A very real and fun glimpse into China ”
Reviewed 10 November 2013 via mobile

The folk culture village is a wonderful place to get a glimpse of the rich Chinese heritage. Shenzhen has precious few places to offer to a tourist and this is a gem.

There are 3 live shows.
* Horse-back battle: Not the most impressive. But worth a watch
* The impression China : Extremely impressive. Blows your mind right off. This starts at 5 pm and there is only one show. It costs an extra 50 RMB, but it's so totally worth it.
* The dance of dragon and Phoenix : This is just jazzing it up totally. Again only one show at 19:30, and anyone who comes to the village must watch this.

Before the two major shows, one can just walk up to each of the folk villages and watch the 20 minute shows. They are all quite interesting. You can get an audio guide outside or even better get a Chinese friend along with you because most of the acts in the folk villages are in Chinese.

TLDR: Do not leave Shenzhen without visiting the Chinese folk culture village

“Good place for a group visit with education purpose”
Reviewed 6 November 2013

This attraction is just near the OCT metro subway exit D; The front entrance starts with the elephants and Hindu God of Creation.with a background of Buddist Pagodas. Before u could enter, a good ride around an elevated train would show the entire place and its suburb for 40 yuan and 30 min. Require some good walking inside to see all places but it is a good attempt by the authorities to consolidate the ethnic groups and their culture in one campus.
