When you pull into the Mission Hills estate it is a different world from the usual Shenzhen. The whole place has been built for luxury and to impress. The rooms here are excellent value for money and the facilities are very good. A lot of the staff struggle with English though so you have to go with the flow a bit, also many seem quite inexperienced. One example was they did not not know that if a glass of Stella was cloudy there was something wrong with it !

Overall this is a great place to stay especially if you can get to play Golf - the courses are testing and beautiful and the assistance of a caddy is mandatory. if you do play though try and get an early tee time as it can get very hot at certain times of the year.

Also this place gets very busy at weekends with the families of locals descending on it.

I recently stayed at Mission Hills during a long, international business trip and was very impressed. The rooms afford all the comforts of a five star hotel - separate bath and shower, double sinks, plenty of room to stretch out, and lovely views of the championship golf course. I had a massage at the spa which was also great and on-par with what I would expect from a decent spa. Very nice after long travels. I also felt safe enough to go on a nice run around the grounds in the morning, which was necessary since the gym didn't open until 7am.

I didn't give this property 5 stars because of two things: the gym hours and limited wine and beer list. Both an accessible gym and decent wine list are necessary during long business trips. That being said, this is likely THE best hotel in the region and provides a nice escape from the general Shenzhen madness.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that overlooks the golf course.

What a beautiful resort! Nice lavish rooms and amenities. Really a welcome in a resort like this in China. The very friendly staff are all very helpful in trying to accommodate your needs. Unfortunately not everyone speaks English so if you can utter a few basic Mandarin, it helps. After a long day visiting factories, it's a treat to come back to Mission Hills Resort. A vey relaxing and comfortable feeling. Once inside, you will not notice that you are in China. I did not get the chance this trip to play golf at one of their famous course. But from the look and seeing that they were listed in the Guinness Book of Record as one of the biggest golf course in the world (12 eighteen hole courses) and also chosen by the famous golfers to play here is enough to convince me that I should try it on my next visit here. They are building several new high end shopping malls that should be completed by 2014 or 2015 and that would surely complement your stay there.

Room Tip: There are only 6 floors in this hotel. There is no bad room even in the 1st floor but if you don't mind the walk, it would be best to stay at the end of the floor with a nice view of the golf course and its more quiet surroundings.

World's best place for Golf lovers. But pathetic place for Vegetarians Indians.
1 Hour drive from Shenzhen Railway mall which is quite far and costs around IN 2500.
Nice Rooms, excellent greenery around.
English speaking staff is only at reception so a bit difficult to explain in english to service staff.

Overall for Golf lovers, a must go on.

Definitely go to this resort. The golf course is designed by world champions in the golfing world you ll definitely lose him from dawn to dusk. Whilst he s off with the boys enjoy lazing by the pool( I found it a tad lacking in grandeur considering the effort put into the golfing aspect & position as you lose the sun very quickly) the service is great , rooms are clean. Having a few drinks in the evening is a very civilised affair with dress code & beautiful surroundings very typical of any decent country club. I certainly wouldn't say no to another visit !
