Hotel was a great value. Breakfast Buffet as well. Average cost for both my economy room and my
breakfast per day was just under $20.00 US per day. Slightly higher on weekend nights because a
premium is charged. My room was clean and service was good. The staff did not speak English. Thus was not a problem however. Everyone was consistently pleasant and I was greeted by everyone working there with a welcoming NiHao and smile. The rooms include complimentary toothbrushes with toothpaste, soap, shower cap, comb, and slippers. If you use or remove them they are replaced daily. I asked for extra clothes hangers and towels and they were promptly provided. My room had a large remote control color TV, excellent working remote control A/C unit,
water boiler/teapot. As is customary in China the bed was very hard. It looked to be in excellent condition, appearing new or nearly so. The linens and bathroom towels were clean and crisp. The furniture was a little sparse and merely functional, very utilitarian. For instance there were no drawers in the room. A few minor negatives which may be important to some. No personal in-room safe. Only one small chair(I was staying alone in a single room) Of particular note. Whenever I left the bathroom lights off and turned them on there would be at least a cockroach in the bathroom. I never saw them or any other bugs anywhere else in the room. I checked it thoroughly and found no evidence or signs of any bedbugs or any other insects. Due to the tropical climate in Zhuhai it isn't unusual for cockroaches to be present. Also, the water drainage system seems to be set up in such a way that it is noisy. Apoarently when people in other rooms use the shower, sink or toilet the water rushes through the drains so that it is loudly heard in the bathrooms either below or adjoining it. It is only bothersome the first time or so you hear it because it sounds lIke a water pipe has burst and water is running in your bathroom until you figure out that is not the case. This hotel
chain accepts Visa cards for payment but make sure you have a pin number associated with the card because you will be required to enter one when they process it. Manyof the less expensive Chinese hotels do not accept any credit cards so this is a plus. The clientele staying here was varied. It seemed to consist of families, couples and a lot of solo business travellers. I met and was befriended by one gentleman who comes to Zhuhai for medical treatment. There are large meeting
facilities available which appeared to be regularly used. WiFi is not provided in the rooms unless you wish to pay an extra amount for it. It is available to all in the lobby. Some rooms also have computers in them which are available for use at a slight extra charge too. All in all I felt I had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. I plan on being a return customer.
