“Nice to visit”

Although this's a new park that duplicated from the original one in Beijing, it's still a nice place to visit. I enjoyed taking photos in this place.

“A plastic attraction.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 February 2013

It used to cost a good deal to visit but it was free in Nov. when we went. They are having trouble attracting visitors. Good for kids but just another copied example of a former real place complex in Beijing. There is so much else that is more interesting in Zhuhai don't waste your time.

“Need A Guide”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 January 2013

This is a replica of the Beijing's Yuan Ming Yuan, not exactly to scale (it's smaller of course) but good enough to know the history of the original historic place.

It's now free to get in. In order to get the most out of it, one should hire a local guide for 2 hours (80 yuan) to explain the features of the park. Trust me, you will learn a lot from the guide about China's history etc. Go there 2 hours before sunset so that you see both the day and night of the park.

“Free entrance”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 October 2012

They used to charge 10 Yuan to get in. Now it's free. It still is not worth the time to come here. A mixture of old buildings and tacky plastic theme park type characters.

The only reason I can think of to put it on an itinerary would be if you have young children and are desperate for family activities.

Tour groups mainly come in the evening to see one of the shows. I didn't do that, so can't comment on whether it was good or not.

I walked around for 30 minutes, then left. You can ride an electric golf cart through the grounds for 20 Yuan. Abundant snacks and souvenirs.

“Not worth paying to go in”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2012

this place is so run down and the ground everywhere was full of rubbish. Real bad management. The water park is the most scary park of this place. It only took us less than an 40 mins to finish signt seeing but the dancing show at night was quite O.K. but if you are only going for scenery then is not worth paying to go in.
