now first let's get the name right...it's no longer Crown Victoria, now it's Victoria International (OK?). This hotel was a burst of fresh air after a couple of not so god places I stayed in in Shijiazhuang (read reviews to see which). The Vic Int gives you the impression of richness as soon as you step into the lobby mainly due to its elaborate chandeliers and use of gold trim, natural wood and mosaic. details which are carried through out the hotel and into rooms.
The hotel is clean, there was poor old lady I see her cleaning the whole ways till late at night.
The reception; Spoke English, a welcomed thing if you travel in China, professional, courteous and took 2 minutes to check me in... Good Job!
The room: I likes it, in fact I loved it...good size, nicely decorated again gold, wood... detailed ceiling, cool side lamps. it was just very very nice. my only issue if I wanted to be picky there was no WiFi (only LAN) and the TV was not and LCD so it made it look a little outdated.
Extras; The room price came with the free breakfast although it had variety it really catered more to the Asia market so did not suit my taste and I stopped bothering going to breakfast. Also they would leave fresh fruit every day, and also apparently you could have complementary High Noon Tea on the 25th floor.
Location; the hotel is located opposite of the main train station in the commercial area of Shijiazhuang what this means, transport (taxi or bus) are plenty, shopping malls and restaurants, clubs and bars are all short walking distance away.
IF you had to come to this city for what ever reason I strongly recommend this place.
