Stayed here for 1 night in February 2010 (rather than October 2010 as when I wrote this review it would only allow me to go back 12 months) during the Harbin Ice Festival. As mentioned in another review the checkin process took ages and they also took money for a deposit for the room. In any hotel previously which looked for a deposit they take a swipe of your credit card as security, here they actually took money. There was a French family checking in at the same time as us and they also thought this was strange.
As for the hotel itself, it's in a decent location near the train station. Unfortunately that's the one positive, the staff were unhelpful. the rooms were dreary and there was very little choice for the breakfast. Having stayed in other 4 star hotels in China this is more like a 2 star hotel than a 4 star hotel. There is a bowling alley and pool shown in the photos - as we were only there for 1 night we did not get to visit these.More
Very Good 4/5
