This was the first stop of our tour and the first hotel. It is just beautiful! Given the low cost of the tour I was pleasantly surprised. They offer English speaking front desk staff and are very accommodating. The breakfast buffet is plentiful. There is a lovely park right across the street which is worth visiting.

Stayed here for only one night as part of a tour group with Sinorama Tours. The room we were given did not have a river view, unfortunately, but rather overlooked part of the city.

The location is good right on the river and across from the river park - which is very nice and large. I would recommend that you walk around in the park. Locals were there exercising, doing tai chi, flying kites, playing games. Nice area.

Around the hotel there were several small stores/shops were you could buy snacks and beverages for reasonable prices.

Our room had 2 single beds. it was average size for a hotel room. Bathroom was smaller than I prefer, but adequate.

The room in general needed to have some updating/maintenance as the carpet was a bit worn/spotty in areas. They are not generous with the towels. 2 bottles of water were included. There is a mini bar, ok prices, but no wine (though the room had wine glasses in it - odd).

There is a revolving restaurant on the top floor - Thai food - not open when we were there, but I imagine the views were awesome. We did check out the lounge on the floor below the restaurant - great views. Drink prices were a bit expensive, but not unexpected at a hotel.

Hotel also has a lobby bar, with friendly staff, but limited English. Front desk was friendly - easy to exchange money there.

Included breakfast buffet was good - lots of variety of both Western and Asian foods.

Was pleasantly surprised. I went to Wuhan for a three week business trip. China is not one of my favorite destinations by any stretch of the imagination, but the welcome from the staff here and assistance, when required, was second to none.

Have a walk down by the river and see the colorful sights of kites flying, children playing and adults engaging in "European Dance Classes" .... quite an eye-opener !!

The food at the hotel is pretty good, three or so restaurants to choose from, the breakfast buffet was plentiful. Oh, referring to 581paul's comment as being overpriced, you can negotiate the room rate right there at the desk. I got my room for 685 yuan, with free breakfast AND access to the Club Lounge, which supplies free food and drinks for two hours per evening.

Perfect location and only a 15 yuan, maximum, taxi ride downtown. I would highly reccomend.

Room Tip: Riverview rooms are a must and try to get the 18th, 19th or 20th floor.

At over 1000 yuan per night this hotel is overpriced for what you get. The rooms are not big. The bathroom is small. I stayed in November and the heat could not be adjusted. They did bring a fan but the room still felt like a sauna to me (okay, it was 26C). The included breakfast buffet was very good; nevertheless, the next time I visit Wuhan, I will try another hotel.

I stayed there several times and actually hotel is very good with excellent river view. Rotating roof restaurant is excellent. Only flaw was that there was tobacco odor in non smoking rooms, I think management will need to work hard to ban clients not to smoke in non smoking places.

I stayed for work in and was surprised by the size of the rooms - which were very large and had great views of the river...

However despite being a '5*' hotel it is very tired and dated, towels and bedding etc are worn down.

Room service was one of the bonuses with surprisingly good western food.
