Wow, you think that Changchun does not have much to offer, but it does. We went today and it is fantastic. Like going to an outdoor gallery, with amazing sculptures from all around the world. If this was in Europe it would be packed out, we even saw sculptures from nz. The kids rode there scooters around, and loved it, stopping at some sculptures and scooting around. Huge park take a picnic with you in the summer and enjoy. Could be an amazing skateboard park,or if you are an oldie they have tourists buses to take you around

“Stunning sculpture, excellent setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 May 2012

This is a more modern phenonemon in Changchun and well worth the visit. It is a massive complex of modern sculpture inside and out. As the temperature was below zero, not surprisingly we spent almost all the time inside. The outside section is huge with fascinating sculptures dotted around the grounds.
There were a variety of works dominated by a statue of a woman emerging from marble with a slight Norman Lindsay feel to the woman, fascinating!
There was some confusion about the closing time, we later found out that they were trialling a new system with messages in languages other than Chinese.
I happily walked around for about 2 hours and while not everything I viewed was to my personal taste, there was something for everyone.
I do regret not spending more time in the surrounding sculpture garden and recommend visits in warmer weather.
I think what struck me the most is that while I very much enjoy learning about the history of China and experiencing it's variations, China is a modern place as well and the Sculpture Garden illustrates moving forward.
Highly recommended.

“Nice park!”

There is a lot to see here, and the sculptures are quite impressive. Give it an afternoon as the place is large.
