Totally commercial street akin to Xintiandi in Shanghai. Ok place to have a bite, buy a souvenir, watch a 'face-changing' show and snap a couple of photos. That's about it.

Wide and Narrow Street is fun for walking around, looking at souvenirs and try street food. Best experienced at night when it's not at hot, yet still full of life. Not as many people as in Jinli Street.

Whiling your time away sipping tea is a favorite afternoon pasttime of people in Chengdu.

Kuanzhai Alley has several tea houses along the way but my friend and I opted to go for one that has tables and chairs set up right on the street (the place is called Lao Qi 老七). The price was rather steep at 40RMB per head, but we enjoyed the rather local experience of sitting on bamboo chairs and drinking tea with other locals, complete with a thermos of hot water on the floor and a fan you could use for the summer heat.

Overall enjoyable but would probably just do it once :)

Some might say a little commercial, but we really enjoyed it to listen to some live music at nighttime, have a cup of local buckwheat tea. Excellent relaxing yet it was quite packed. There is a very nice boutique hotel at the end also, but pricey. Maybe next time for a splurge!

This is an area best visited at night time, to soak up the atmosphere, as It's full of Bars, Restaurants and Shops, and is ornately adorned with various lighting combinations. It also felt friendly & safe.
