Anyi 158 is a chain hotel. I stayed at the Yulin North Road branch for two nights. Beds are hard, as is typical in China, so takes some getting used to. The RMB158/night price is definitely a bargain for a private room with private shower and a sitting toilet (although I am sure there are cheaper options elsewhere). Front desk staff are curt and not particularly helpful. They require a RMB100 deposit for an extra key card. They will ask you for an RMB200 deposit for the room, which is inclusive of the nightly rate, so expect to get a RMB42 refund on checkout. This could be confusing since the front desk doesn't really speak Chinese. Breakfast is included which consists of a variety of noodles or congee in the 2nd floor cafeteria. If you don't read Chinese choose option #5 which is a non spicy bowl of noodles with a fried egg on top. The location is ok, about a 10 minute walk to the nearest subway station and 35-45 minute walk to Wuhou Temple and Jinli Ancient Street. Taxis to/from the airport should be no more than RMB50. Look out for taxis that have the RMB1.90/km sticker on the rear window. One time we got into another taxi that charged us double per km and it's pretty hard to dispute what is on the meter when Chinese is not your first language.
