So, my knowledge of the Three Kingdoms is very limited, which makes the statues, and relationship of the people to them, not so interesting for me. It's a 60rmb entry fee (free under 6). The gardens, ponds, bonsai, and temple architecture are nice enough for a walkabout for 2 hours or so end to end. The main entrance is mayhem.

Off to the side is Jinli Street, which is basically a tourist fest, but you can get snacks and trinkets if you don't have other stops planned.

There are oversized status of soldiers and diplomats from 225ad. It's like a memorial to them. You can read about their life and death...most fought to the death.

The temple is beautiful and thrives with active worshipers. There are some great dumpling restaurants in the area. It's worth the trip.

We did not go in as they charged with entrance fee. Some how one of the locals told us to visit Wen Su Temple instead. However we did walk around the surrounding which is actually the main walking street in Chengdu. Nice dining outlet including the outstanding design of Starbucks outlet.

This is an impressive shrine which is unique in that it is dedicated to the old emperor and the prime minister. The streets round the shrine are full of gift stalls and eating places and is a lovely place to wander around.
