I am overall very satisfied with the hotel.
Pros:
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Really sweet girls working at the front desk.
The rooms were very clean and the AC works well.
Great breakfast for 25 renmibi.

Cons:
The rooms are somewhat small with old furniture.
Location is not that great and need to take a cab to get anywhere and depending on your luck, you may/may not get a cab. I actually ended up moving to a different hotel the last night because I had a 5:30 am flight to catch and didn't trust that I would get a cab that early in the morning.

Overall, very satisfied with my stay since it was cheap and even though the staff barely spoke English, they really wanted to help.

We have used IBIS a lot in Europe, and were pleased to find IBIS are also in China. Their greatest asset is the 100% reliability of their cleanliness and functionality. This was even more the case in China, where local hotels have rooms that are typically big, empty, not very clean, and with various broken item (oh, and invariably bathrooms that flood). IBIS was always splotless, had functioning air-conditioning, so a good night's sleep was assured. And of course, the prices are great.

Standard Ibis room so far OK. Part of the friendly staff at the Reception spoke well English.
At the Bar the staff don't understand any English and refuse to take 50 or 100 RMB notes while the 6 days I stayed. Lays chips for 15 RMB, wow, well calculated. At 7/11 they charge around 4 RMB. Simple drinking water as well far overpriced. This all in relation to the 209-229 RMB (weekend).
Internet, extremely slow, Air-con 24C, can rise in the night to 27C. After a note on the desk I received the Message from the GM that this is done by law, 24-26 C in summer time for public places.
Laundry service work from day to day, but you get it not ironed.
I used this place for a Business Trip and have to find out that nothing will be comfortable for Business persons at this location. Convenience stores or similar and Restaurants/Bars etc. are not available in short distance. Taxi needed.
Hard to get a Taxi as the Hotel Entrance is beside the Bridge with the Main road.
Over all, even local and cheaper chains like Motel 7 or others have individual Air-con units in their rooms and faster Internet. Convenience stores, Restaurants, Fast food chains etc. are always around. Experience in whole China. Very disappointing from an International Brand, belonging to ACCOR Group which has great Hotels like SOFITEL.
I recommend all to stay in the Haiyatt Hotel (not Hyatt!). Stay 4* and feel like in a 5*!

We took 4 rooms for 2 nights at Ibis Chengdu on the non-smoking floor but 2 rooms smells badlly. Tower is not clean, even we told the service staff, but still experice the long hair on the tower the very next day. Due to early departure, I would like to settle the bill one day before the check-out date, but the reseptionist can not caculate the room rate accurately, so that we have to stay at the front desk 45 mins. They have to call their General Manager for room rates clearance. When we complain to the staff that we spend too much time for our bill and the 15 minites satisfaction promise seems like nothing. The staff told us that the 15 minites satisfaction promise only offer the customer solution but nothing related to guest satisfaction. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!

I would not recomend this hotel to any of my friend, however Chengdu is good to visit

I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. For the price, my expectations were pretty low. From the time I entered the hotel, I was pleased. It is extremely bright and clean. The staff were friendly, although with a limited English ability! My room was spotlessly clean, bright and cheery. There was complimentary internet as well. Overall, I was extremelly pleased.
