“Overpriced”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 February 2013

Great location, service, facility. However, given the market, it is very overpriced by a factor of two.

Beware of the room types, we didn't see any differences other than price.

We came considering the possibility of a quick dive but the consolidation of the shops has driven the prices up. The shops also weren't very flexible so we'll take that into account through advanced planning for our next trip up there.

This property is stunning, it is full of charm. It has an old world feel with a lovely staff! It is in a great location in the walled city. The room was beautiful and spacious. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel!

Small boutique with very modern rooms inside former bishop house. The combination is amazing if you make sure not to get a room on the Main Street...
Certainly a good break from the Hilton and walking distance to all monuments within the fortified town.

Room Tip: Ask for room 101 or 102 and you will feel that you have a private pool...

I highly recommend this place. It is one of the most charming places to stay in the old town. The staff are very attentive and helpful and the place is super tranquil with music played throughout the evening to help relax. The breakfast is great and I would recommend ordering some cocktails and sitting at the very top of the look out point in the late afternoon. Just divine!'

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for two nights at the end of our trip to Cartagena and we really liked it. The room was really very nice - it had a lot of character and was very large. (There was a bust of the Arzobispado in our room which kept startling us when you caught sight of him out of the corner of your eye!!) The bathroom was massive and the shower was probably the best hotel shower I've seen in a really long time!!

The pool, while small, was wonderful. Although the posted hours were from 7am-7pm, the manager was so accommodating and told us we could use it whenever we wanted. The manager also brought us fresh fruits while we were sitting by the pool and offered us a complementary bottle of champagne.

Our only problem was that when we asked how far in advance we needed to be at the airport they told us 1-1/2 hours, when it reality it was three hours. Unfortunately this mistake may have caused us to lose our luggage. We were unable to get our luggage on our flight home and it still has not arrived.... Not entirely their fault - we should have double checked the info.

This boutique hotel is a beautifully restored Colonial home with a flair for the "old world". We stayed in the largest suite which is gorgeous, romantic, elegant and very private. The staff is wonderful, professional and accommodating. Leonardo, Samuel and Iris make you feel like you are a welcomed guest. The location is 3 short blocks from San Pedro Square which I found to be a perfect spot inside the wall. The pool and courtyard are very nice with a tranquil feel. I found the rates to be very reasonable considering the attention from the staff and the quality of the room and the hotel.
I will stay there again when in Cgena!!
