This was our second hotel we had in Cartagena. We choose the Hilton for the pool and the beach. Rooms are big and have a nice view. The swimming pools are excellent and the service of the hotel is great. We never went to the beach as there were too many guys waiting for you to sell stuff.
It is a business hotel, however, so you will get that strange mix of clientele (e.g. vacation versus business). Although it is only a 10 minute drive from the Walled City I would recommend to take a hotel closer to the city if this would be the purpose of your visit.

Nice hotel and the breakfast buffet was pretty darn good so good we went every morning hah (tons of food selection and juices). Visited last week for 3 nights and I had a pleasant stay. The only downside is that it is a bit far from the airport about ~22 min taxi ride. Also, if you want to go to the Walled City it is about a ~10min drive and the taxi costs $4USD.

*Vendors at Hilton private beach were quite pushy and the beach is small so we only stayed for a little bit.
*Played pingpong at the hotel which was fun
*Booked an executive suite and was very glad I did because there were free drinks/snacks in the executive lounge and 2 computers and a great view. (Make sure to ask if your breakfast is included and go downstairs instead of eating in the executive room because there is WAY more selection downstairs)
*Arrived quite late to Hilton hotel on our first night so we ate dinner at the restaurant right before they closed. Food was surprisingly good but a bit expensive (I ordered the seabass and it was tasty)

Overall, def. satisfied with my stay!

Room Tip: Really worth spending a few extra bucks to get an executive suite. Great breakfast and free drinks :D (I stayed in room 915 and it had a nice view of the lbeach)

The beaches in Cartagena are not the best. They are all of fairly poor quality and almost all the hotels are not directly on the beach. The Hilton DOES have direct beach access which makes it a bit better than the others, but I wouldn't go to Cartagena for the beaches. The Central District is where everything is happening and it is just a short cab ride away for the minimum fare of 6,000 COP. The cab price is good, so it is not prohibitive to run down to the old town and that's where all the great places are. It's a great town for some history, arts, shopping, and eating. Enjoy.

You really can't beat this hotel in Cartagena. I've traveled a lot, and this is among the very best I've stayed at. Service from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave is impeccable. The rooms are lovely and modern. The view is spectacular regardless which side you're on. Food in the main restaurant is very good, and the breakfast buffet is stellar. The best feature by far, however, is the stunning pool area. Perfect for a relaxing stay. I can't recommend this place enough.

This is a very nice hotel right on the beach in Laguito. There are large pools and a very good gym for a hotel. In the morning there is a buffet breakfast with plenty to eat. Location is excellent although there is not too much in Laguito it is only a short drive to the historic part of Cartagena which is great too see the walled city with some awesome architecture. Nothing bad too say. Service was great as well. I enjoyed my time.

Room Tip: I stayed in a normal room and it was fine.
