Stayed in Cartagena over a week learning how to dance with crazy salsa. The teachers are great, the location is central and the space is nice with a balcony overlooking the centre.

If you are looking to improve your salsa , just beginning or just want to get a vibe of Latin dancing this place is it in Cartagena!

Had a wonderful time learning salsa. My teacher stephanie was amazing, she was so sweet, professional and above all patient. Salsa is in my blood, having my family be native to Colombia. But I needed some formal lessons. While in Colombia I took many classes around the country but I have to say my best experience was in Cartagena and that's mainly due to steph. She has a great energy that she reflects on to you, at least that was my experience. I would definitely go back and reccomend this school!

Inside the historic center, on the first floor, two rooms to dance to the salsa beat. Not only tourists, some locals who know to dance quite well. Cocktails are good, atmosphere lovely and old and a kind of colonial style, young people. Good vibes. Prices as average.

We came here as part of a cruise excursion. There were a man and woman who gave a short introduction to Colombian dance styles and a dance demonstration. They talked about cumbia and its African and Spanish roots. Then they ushered us into the other room and gave us different styles of egg empanadas. Then we went back into the studio room, and they dressed us up and had us dance. It was seriously so fun. My friend and I loved it. It was authentic, simple, fun.

I came to Colombia to learn their style of salsa after learning LA style (salsa en linea) preciously. I took 3 private lessons with a female instructor named Stefani and was amazed how much I could learn in 3 hours. I am now in Cali Colombia and went out social dancing last night and felt like I was the best non-colombian guy on the dancefloor using the fast footwork and turn patterns she taught me that I had never seen before. She was very patient and would explain things as slow as needed and let me practice as many repetitions as needed with and without music. And the best part is she let me take videos at the end of each class so I can remember and study the steps. I highly recommend private lessons with Stefani at Crazy Salsa if you want to learn Colombian(Caleña) style salsa.

I also took a few LA style lessons with Enrique and he taught me some new moves and helped me refine my technique in a style I was already familiar with.

Prices for private lessons here are less than half of what I would have to pay back in the USA so take advantage while you are there!
