While Alex, Katya and Ricardo were helpful and informative, the design of the hostel is poor. Any noise will be heard throughout the entire place. The 7am construction banging next door made it impossible to 'sleep in'. The hostel is, however, ideally placed in a safe and delightful tourist area. Take good earplugs and your stay will be awesome!

Geo Hostel was definitely a sigh of relief when we arrived. We spent a couple of nights at PitStop hostel in Medellin earlier and really hated it, so it was great to go somewhere that was new, clean and where the staff were super friendly and nice. Right from when we first arrived Juan was great, helped us get our luggage to our room, pointed out the good places to go eat and drink.

There is a great communal area and you can buy drinks on sight.

The only let down for me was pretty big. The room we had faced the road and it gets LOUD at night there. We had to fly out early the next day so we wanted to get a good night sleep. The music was blasting loud until 2am, which meant zero sleep until then.
Also as we were leaving early (at 7.30) it would have been good to get some breakfast at 7 but we were told we could only get breakfast at 7.30.

Geo Hostel is really close to all the great eateries in Parque Illeras so you can walk out at night time.

Room Tip: Make sure you request one that doesn't face the road.

Ive been here for about a week and booked for another 10 days to conclude my trip. This seems like an hotel for an hostel price. The stay is super friendly and the place stays spotless. The breakfast is uninspiring but that is the only down fall for this establishment. Juan and Ricardo have been great in telling what to do and what not to do in the city. The nightlife and El poblado is 2 blocks away and I love the fact that I can get away from all the craziness to sleep. I recommend this place for couples and persons who like to relax when trying to rest.

Room Tip: Hostel rooms fit 6 and usually half empty

This place over promised and under delivered which is a huge no no in the service industry. The roof top jacuzzi was broken yet when we showed up at their door they listed it as a selling point. They didn't have any hot water, the walls are thin and the breakfast was bread. Everything seemed new and was clean and the there is an air of luxury about the place but that becomes irrelevant when they can't come through on basics.

I was staying in Medellin for two weeks and made a reservation with Geo Hostel, including a receipt of a confirmation email from them. However, when I showed up from the airport they didn't have my reservation. The guy at the front desk pulled up our email exchange confirming my 2-week reservation on his computer but indicated that "someone must have forgotten to put it in the system". Even though it was clearly the hostel's fault, he took no blame nor apologized nor offered to help me find another place to stay. Unless you want to risk being welcomed to the city by rude staff (which is ironic in such a friendly city!?) and unexpectedly having to find a new place at the last minute and potentially in the middle of the night, don't go here.

Hi everyone, if you are looking for a place to resting, this is a good option,

It was an excellent place to sleep, incluyed a breakfast and it was good

I stayed 2 nights and I enjoyed so much

Go to that place and look for yourself

You will fine a Jacuzzi no the 3er floor, around the Hostel you will fine restaurants, some pubs and more.

Close to this place you will find Lleras Park, there is a lot of clubs, pubs and places to have fun

This hostel is basically new. Offers wonderful facilities. Clean bathrooms on every floor. Good space to hang out on the terrace overlooking the city. Great location, less than 10 minutes away from the subway station. Located in the wonderful part of Medelling. Close to many good restaurants. English speaking staff was of great help when we tried to rent a car in the city. There is an Exito supermarket right by El Poblado stop, it is a good place to buy fruits and other groceries.
