Are you the kind of traveler who prefers not to see a lot of tourists, but just wants to get under the skin of the city--be part of the pulse? (Oh, but you also want a really comfortable bed and nice hot shower? It's okay, me too.) Do you want to feel like the coolest person in the universe? Are you ready to fall in love with Medellin? YOU MUST STAY HERE. Noah and his new assistant Vanesa (we'll have to meet Marcela next time!) gave us EXACTLY what we were craving. They suggested adventures we'd never have discovered--a goth theater performing an original adaptation of the Fall of the House of Usher, lit by candlelight alone, and an evening chillin' in a square that I can only describe as what you WISH the east village in nyc could be. The neighborhood is adorable. And don't worry if your cab driver can't find the place right away; the driver can stop and ask a group of friendly teens where it is, and one of the kids will hail his friend who's passing on his moto (!prestame la moto!), hop on the moto and lead the cab right to the door, and despedirse with a happy wave. The house itself is absolutely lovely and adorable in every way; you will sleep great on the super comfy bed, you'll have a nice hot shower and a delicious breakfast (even featuring granadilla if you are lucky!) Crap, now I am having Medellin withdrawal all over again. My husband and I cannot wait to go back. We've traveled a lot, and we don't like to repeat destinations, but this time we are CERTAIN that we will return, and soon. Thank you, Noah and Vanesa for an absolutely incredible weekend.

Thank you so much for posting this! We absolutely love when we can help enhance our guests' vacations and from your words, it sounds like we were able to do that. You two were a joy to have at our B&B and we were glad that we could supply some suggestions for your trip.

We appreciate you choosing Su Casa Colombia and we hope to see you (and hopefully Grey) again soon!

My husband and I stayed two nights on our honeymoon. Noah & Marcela are amazing, they showed us around and gave us great tips. Their neighborhood is perfect; close to the subway, groceries, restaurants, and everything you need, but also quiet and "real" if that makes any sense. Their house is beautiful and I felt very safe leaving stuff there without locking anything up or locking the door to the room (though they also have a safe).

I can't imagine a better place to stay in Medellin, and the price is right too! Do yourself a favor and book Su Casa. :)

Su Casa is a great place, with caring and attentive owners and staff, cozy rooms, and really wonderful beds! We stayed there for a week and, after doing research work during the day, we always felt great getting home and relaxing on the big mattress and luxurious bedding! Also, it was really nice to have access to a kitchen and laundry machine, and to be in a neighborhood where you could buy mangos on the street and pastries on almost every corner. Finally, the breakfast place just a couple blocks away, on the way to the train stop, became our favorite, delicious way to start the day!

What struck me at Su Casa was Noah and Marcela's generosity. They open their home to you and there are many comfortable spaces -- indoors and out -- to relax, have a glass of wine, unwind. They are young in age, but very mature and made us feel like old friends visiting -- all while being discrete and keeping a respectful distance, which is a real art! My only regret is not to have stayed longer in Medellin, which we loved. Take the walking trip with Noah, it was enlightening and inspiring!
