Rodadero Aquarium and Playa Blanca Day Trip from Santa Marta

This beach was nice but it was a bit crowded. We actually started laughing after about an hour as every minute, another different person walked to us asking to sell us something, We must have said 'Gracias' 1000 times that day. But, we understand, and generally had a nice time. People were all friendly, though one older lady made us laugh a lot when she was offended when we didn't buy something from her - as if it was an obligation.

This beach is better than the beach in the city of Santa Marta, but it was not the tropical paradise I was looking for. I barely felt comfortable enough to swim, and the swarms of pushy tourists and vendors did not allow us to relax. We were much happier going out to some of the other beaches nearby Park Tayrona.

I really enjoy this sea district of Santa Marta. This place is quite touristic but there is everything here and it is not busy and confused as the main city. So, if you want to relax, you have to come here. furthermore you can find the best restaurant of the region here, I did eat very well in some tiny restaurants that provide diffrerent types of food.

Very packed all day long... A lot of restaurants near by, lot of stores and shopping, but a lot of people also. I think there are a lot more other places less crowded.
Something that was great though, was that the water seems very dark, but once you are in the water is completely transparent, that was cool!

El Rodadero has beautiful landscape, perfect weather, amazing beach and very friendly enviroment. The food is very good and every night you can walk by the beach and find "papayera" playing regional vallenato music. People gather together and relax with music and drinks in a very nice and safe atmosfere with affordable prices.
You can eat hot dogs, pizza or regional food nerby. We loved our 4 -day vacation in El Rodadero.
It is better if you speak some Spanish. Foreign turists are welcome but we know some people may take advantage of you. If you buy turistic plans be sure the companys are recommended by a Hotel .
