i highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the AC area. Everything there is first rate, from the bellman, housekeepers and all the staff. Well worth the money to stay at this fine hotel. There is a person checking key cards before you can go up in the elevator, made me feel very safe.
The pools are fabulous, inside and outside as well. So even if you don't gamble, you can enjoy the pools, or go shopping, they have bus service for a small fee. Very convenient.
Looking forward to going back.

First impressions are everything and ours was a bit of a disappointment. After deciphering some confusing signage at Water Club valet parking entrance, we were not so cordially greeted by the parking attendant. We followed another couple through the glass doors (which were not automatic, making it clumsy when rolling luggage). Again, no signs where to go so we took escalator up and found the lobby. From there, pretty smooth sailing. Check-in was perfect (thank you, Jose) and our room is lovely with a beautiful view. We went down to the pool and there was not one single lounge to be found in the sunny area - on a Monday! It would probably help if people would remove their towels when they leave so others could enjoy.
The casino and dinner at Izakaya were terrific.
I particularly appreciated the security guards at the hotel elevator entrance.
We'll be back.

Room Tip: Ask for room with water view.

My husband and I returned this afternoon from the Chicago concert at the Borgata The concert was great.. We paid $409 for a club room at the Water Club:
....The only sheet on the bed was a flat sheet that wasn't even tucked in- no top sheet. I called the front desk to request the 400 thread sheets that were supposed to be on the bed -they said
the bed was already made

....Only 1 mug for the 2 of us for morning coffee

....Lighting in the bathroom is really bad and no fan
....all of the staff were very impersonal and could care less
....all the eateries were overcrowded .expensive .and loud
....if you don't smoke..good luck in there
....lot of younger guys on our floor- drunk at 3am and banging on doors and yelling to be let in
....carpenting not very clean

Just all around disappointing - it is a beautiful building though. Save your money

We stayed here for 1 night as a family with 2 young children. We had a club room over looking the bay / City on the 21st floor. The room was excellent, very clean, beautiful shower room, comfortable bed and a truly stunning view over the bay & City.

The reason I only give this hotel 3 stars is a couple of points. Firstly customer service is not everyone's priority. We found the drop off point hard to find and went the wrong way into Garage Parking. The attendant was so difficult when we said we'd come in in error and didn't want to park, she still tried to charge us $5 parking fee. She really was unbelievably rude. We complained and the Valet Manager was apologetic.

Other members of staff were generally ok though and our server at breakfast was excellent.

The pools for the Water Club are over 21s only so we were invited to use the pool at The Borgata instead. This was ok but the pool was small & crowded and the changing facilities were non-existent.

One final point is that wifi isn't complimentary and I really think it should be for the price you're paying for the room.

A point to note is this hotel is not on the Boardwalk so if you want to go to the beach / pier etc you have to get a cab or the Jitney bus.

All in all we had a great time in AC and this is a truly lovely & opulent hotel but if they sharpened up a couple of things then it would be perfect.

Love the Borgata/water club but totally ridiculous that you cannot get access to pool until 3pm! You miss the whole day even though they let you check in at 1030am. Bar service at sunroom is fantastic. Especially Nikki, Carl and Jack!

Generally don't care for most casino hotels, especially in Atlantic City. However, the Water Club is an impressive exception. Classy, low key, elegant in many ways - a class act without being overly snobby or pretentious. Would recommend better lighting in the bathroom, and less loud music at the pools, but otherwise no complaints, and looking forward to a return visit.

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean view.

The Water Club & Borgata are excellent properties. However, the Water Club pool area is not. There is a policy of allowing individuals to reserve the chaise lounges in apparently unlimited numbers. Consequently you will have little or no choice or even no chance of obtaining a lounge.
It's spooky to be told that there are no lounges available when you see that 90% are unoccupied.
The food and beverage quality are terrible. Simple cocktails like Bloody Marys and Margaritas are undrinkable because of the terrible quality mixes used.
If the Water Club has an Achilles Heel, it's the Pool.
