“Worth the stay”
Reviewed 15 December 2013

After browsing around hotels to accommodate my 27th birthday I finally settled for this. And for its price it was well worth it. Spacious rooms... a huge king size bed with a beautiful ocean view. Sold! I loved it. Nice casino. But not enough night life. And the resturants we're not my cup of tea. The hostess at breadsticks are very rude and the cashier in the casino was not trying to accept my friendliness at all. Let's just say this hotel need to train their staff to be more friendly and welcoming. They could at least pretend to like you. The rooms were not bright at all. With three lamps I could barley see certain areas of the room. The bathroom need a renovation and a new mirror. The room I stayed in mirror was so old and rusted I could hardly see myself. Overall it's located steps from the beach and taxis are right outside waiting to take you around town. I'll stay again in the future. Only because the rooms are nice.

After checking-in, we went to our room & it was a big disappointment. Called front desk and told them we were very unhappy with room. There was paint peeling in bathroom by sink area, dirt on one wall and one light bulb was out,a mini refridge sitting on floor? The furniture looked old and beat up, you have to be kidding me! This was not a comp. room we were paying for this room. The front desk said they would send housekeeping up to change light bulb, after one hour & two more calls to front desk ( kevin ) who we had spoke to is now at lunch? No one ever came up. As far as the room, the front desk said they were all booked up & could not give us another. Now, if anyone from resorts wants to look at room it is in ocean tower room#548 not that anyone at resorts seem to care. And in our trip around casino and then looking for restaurants to eat, the restaurants were all but empty ??? they were not fully booked at all, no way ! Would you go back to this casino/hotel ??? And they say A.C. needs more bussiness!

I cannot believe the positive reviews this hotel gets. These people obviously have low standards. Stayed 3 nights in room 3603 for a conference I was attending. If you aren't a smoker, you will hate this hotel. While the room was non-smoking, you couldn't even walk through the lobby without smelling like an ashtray. Beware - there is no Wi-Fi and they charge to use crappy dial up. No Wi-Fi in the entire hotel except at Margaritaville. All of the shops close early and the only bar not in the casino area closes at 9! Forget about going out in this area at night - bums and homeless people hang out and even sleep in the casino. The only place to get breakfast is a Dunkin Donuts. Front desk staff is rude, they don't offer complimentary toiletries, and to top it off, I came home today with bed bug bites on my entire body! I called the manager "Mario" and he said he would report it to risk management. I seriously doubt they care. I travel a lot and have never experienced a worse hotel!!

I have had offers at resort for comp rooms and have never used them until now. We always stayed at another casino and walked to resorts to play. When I booked our comp room, I thought it would be just a plain room. Upon arrival we had been booked in a mini suite with living room, fridge, microwave and beautiful bath. I will never change my location again. The rooms were clean and staff was exceptional, not to mention the best payoff ratio we have had in Atlantic City in years

We stayed one night on a road trip down to Florida over the Thanksgiving holiday. We got a rate of 49 USD on the night before Thanksgiving for a 6th floor room in the older Ocean Tower. While the room was quite old school, it wasn't too bad. We had a large room with two queen size beds and a large LCD TV with a partial ocean view. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There were no restaurants or coffee shops open after 11 that night, and the casino was quite empty - which is understandable given the holiday. The bathroom was OK if quite small, no major complaints since we're both not very fussy about little things - what matters is that room was clean and comfortable, and all of the plumbing and heat worked. Staff were courteous, nothing outstanding but professional. If staying in an older style hotel bugs you - maybe this place won't fit the bill. Pro bar is now closed so there really is not too much going on in the hotel. We tried it and won't be staying again - but for those on a budget and can handle 24 hour Jimmy Buffet music, or for those who consider Margaritaville a big night out this hotel might just fit the bill.

When we arrived we were greeted warmly by the young man at the front desk. We discussed the Eagles' football game and the weather. After that, we made our way to our room and found it to be clean, spacious, and very accommodating. The view of the Atlantic ocean was a plus!

The casino was lovely with lots of attentive staff. The games were fun and kept us entertained. There was something for everyone, lots of slot machines with many different themes.

We dined at Jimmy Buffett's restaurant, Margaritaville, which was fun! There was a man on stilts that made us silly hats out of balloons. We sat in a booth where there was a T.V. showing footage of all the fun at the many tailgate parties at Jimmy's concerts. The food was good, and we would definitely go back.

In all it was quite a positive experience and we are already planning our next trip.

Bob & Lil Keller

Room Tip: We got a non-smoking room beause we don't smoke.
